Does ANYBODY know what the hell is happening FFS ?
When I get a job offer (I wish), I have 24 hrs to accept it, so why are these "negotiations" so long and drawn out ??
Has anything been offered or accepted by anyone to anyone or what ?

Alan Smith has gone to Newcastle, just in case you missed it.
The Baines thing is dependant on various issues, money only being one of them. I’ve yet to hear anything about us even having an agreement with Wigan, let alone the player. Nobody has actually said we’re even in negotiations. The reason the player bit takes so long, is because theres alot of pieces of the pie to be cut up, the player, the 2 clubs, the agents etc - all that takes time as it has to be passed through I would imagine, at least 3 solicitors.
And breath...

David.... Smith has gone to Newcastle and I really dont have the slightest idea what is happening with the Baines deal although it was on T.V before that Newcastle are thinking about coming in with a late offer for him..The time it takes Everton to complete a deal I would probably expect to see Baines a Newcastle player by Monday, after all they only stated an interest in Smith two days ago and already he is making his debut for them on Sunday..You will be waiting a long long time for us to do anything else..Dont even know where the Beattie deal stands at the moment and Im guessing us signing any more players hinges on Beattie getting sold..Madness..Utter madness

It’s simple, Smith was never coming here as we never made a bid.
Baines could be coming but it hinges on Beattie being sold which hinges on the Chairman of Sheff Utd coming back off holiday.
See, Simple.

Dont think we ever went for Smith to be honest. As far as Baines, now it reads that Big Sam is thinking about moving for him, looks like Allan’s Nan could be set for a call-up!
Total Farce, my thanks to the board
