Goodison Option

Having studied the picture closely of the New Goodison Park, at the existing site, I'm a little confused. I can't see a Tesco anywhere, nor Asda, nor anyone else who is going to tip up for it for that matter. For gawd's sake. .WHERE IS THE MONEY GONNA COME FROM TO PAY FOR IT? Perhaps we can go to away matches with a bucket to do a collection?
We are already in hock for MILLIONS and we would be pressing the self distruct button if we incurred the debt of building this on our own. I want to stay in the city boundaries, I would love to see a New Goodison, but unless there is someone going to give us a deal like the one already on offer, at Kirkby, then my vote will be a YES.
EFC not GPFC.

The point Mark Jospeh makes it right - who will pay for it?
You say Kenwright blocks investment, but let me turn the tables here, do you have a clu about investing?
Put yourself in an investors shoes. Would you invest 50m to buy the club, have to pay 20m downpayment and take on a 75m loan (costing 8m per year just in interest payments) to build a new stadium AND THEN expect to make a return on your investment?? No chance. Thats why no one is trying to invest in Everton, there is no possiblility of making there money back, never mind making a profit.
get into the real world.

Where do you get this "50m to buy the club" figure from?
I’ve seen the same figures before arguing why no-one would invest in Everton until we have a new stadium (it may even have been one of your previous comments). I just don’t understand why anyone would think that the club is or should be worth 50m.
Consider: True Blue Holdings bought 72% of EFC for around 21m-22m. With the exception of one year when we made a 100k profit, I think I’m right in saying we’ve we have made an operating loss every single year since. At the same time, the debt has risen by around 25m and the balance sheet has plummeted into the red by about another 15m.
[NB. All figures are from memory of Joe Beardwood’s recent financial anlysis, they may not be 100% accurate, but they’re in the right ballpark, and the theme is definitely consistent]
Now tell me why anyone would/should pay more than twice what TBH did. TBH/Kenwright bought the shares for around 850 GBP, if the shares had been traded on the stock exchange since the purchase, do you think the price would have gone up or down?

It angers me that idiots like you get a vote, they should have some qualifying aptitude test or something.
NSNO, ever heard of it??
The board said it can’t be done, it can. The only thing in the way of redeveloping Goodsion is lack of inward investment and we all know who is to blame for that.
I’m sure of course you will tell me that when we move stadium we will be more attractive though..because you read someone else say it somewhere and it sounded good...but really you don’t have a clue.
City, Portsmouth, West Ham, Birmingham etc...all ’more attractive’ than Everton?? Do me a favour. The only difference between us and those clubs is their owners were willing sellers.
This board can no longer keep up with the game on or off the pitch and they should be gone long before we even consider the end of Goodsion Park.
