The Mail Bag

Total Joke!

I've watched from afar, especially all the different views posted on this great site, some I agree with, some I dont, but all arguments have been submitted with class, so excuse if this dont fit the high standards, but I got to get this off my chest.

Can someone please tell me what is going on with my beloved club and the money/transfer situation?

We just missed out on Smith to the Barcodes. I'm not a great fan of his, but the sign it would have shown is that we are acting in the background, and we know our targets. Now as I read to see the reasons he went to the Barcodes I now discover that Big Sam is also looking into Baines. We miss out on him we are to reward the fans/players with a loss of squad members, and no improvement.

If we do by a miracle have a decent run in Europe, we wont be able to compete in the league and the domestic cups, then at the end of the season with a mid table finish and out of all cups, Arteta gone, Lescott poached, Cahill vanished, all the hard work over the last few seasons will of gone.

We had the chance a few seasons back to offer European Football, we never ceased it to bring in any real quality, the same under Big Joe after the FA Cup win. All I can presume is that the board must be happy to let us just bubble along in the Prem, and take our money throught the turnstiles.

It's a joke, Im gutted, I love this club, but it seems more and more likely that the board wish to lie to us, and keep swinging that carrot of progression in front of us, with no intention of doing anything. If they would be honest, tell us the actual figures we have to spend, or the real reasons we aint got anything, that would be something.

I for one am getting sick of following that 'carrot' of lies, really am pissed about the situation. We lose Baines, thats it, you can forget me pumping anymore money into the club via attendance & merchandise. My head will start ruling my heart from then on!

Totally gutted!

Here’s another 1 for you steve. Now that Cahill’s injured, the official site is talking up Pienaar. How bloody typical, more propaganda. That’s how this club is being run.

I’ve said for ages now don’t worry people will come in, the club know what they are doing.

Now, with one week to go before kick off, I’m absolutely shitting myself and I will be even more if we sell Beattie and don’t bring anyone in.

I just cant understand our current transfer policy, its a joke. Vaughan LT injured, no replacement so we’re selling Beattie?..And what the hell is happening with Baines? Its as if we’ve got to conclude the Beattie sale before the deal is done.Brinkmanship at its worst.Total spent 4 Million (plus a loan)..Total recuped 1 Million, Naysmith plus Wright, Pistone gone (plus the likes of Weir, Davies and Fernandes gone last season.
Do we really want to be in Europe and how long before Arteta, Cahill etc. become disillusioned?

I could not agree more Steve. Where on earth does our money go?? we can’t afford even a one millon rated player in "Vogel" we can’t afford to pay top wages and retain our best players. And Newcastle are at it again snapping up our Transfer Targets!! We need a new board to take control of our club not a move out of OUR CITY.

You would stop supporting Everton if they don’t sign Baines? Thats harsh.

I could never stop loving Everton, its coded into my DNA. I’ll be disappointed if Baines doesn’t sign but nothing could ever get me to give up on my beloved Everton.

If they sold up, moved out of the city, got relegated and sold all the best players you would still find me supporting Everton.

Got no choice in that, I’m Everton to the core and nothing will ever change that.
