The Mail Bag

Alan Smith

Just fresh from the Sky sports news, Alan Smith has joined Newcastle. I must admit though I am slightly relieved as I do not believe that he was the right player for us at this stage. Before the 'Dithering Dave' brigade pipe up just look at the figure and deal he is on at Newcastle. It is ridiculous.

I am happy to keep faith in our manager, he has not let us down yet in my opinion. Panic if you must but when you look at the actual quality and team spirit of our squad, we are looking quite healthy. Numbers we need, mercenaries we dont. Good luck Smith, Koumas, Richardson etc. You're gonna need it.

You don’t think there is a chink in the team spirit armor when Arteta is speaking to the press about the lack of numbers in our squad? We need more players, that’s all there is to it. I didn’t want Koumas, or Richardson, but Smith would have been a good buy and now Newcastle might snatch Baines as well. Be realistic man, the quality is good, the depth is the worst in the league.

are look lad, what are you defending, an inept board, an inept manager, it seems you are just hoping that we buy someone, thoes players you mension ALL played for England, albeit under 21s all wanted to play for Everton and are probly the best on the market at this stage, so don;t defend a stagnent backward thinking pile of shithouses, we are the voice we are the people, we are the club, we are not hear to listen to shit, say it as it is the board are shafting us.
