The Mail Bag

A Plea...

... for all Everton fans to forget about Manny Fernandes.

All summer fans have been banging on about Manny and the fact that Everton have not secured his services.

Whilst I agree that Mr Fernandes has undoubted talent I feel that it would be wise to bow to the superior knowledge of David Moyes, and every other manager in the UK and Europe, and accept that he is, perhaps, not the saviour of EFC that many want him to be. For christ sakes, even Harry Redknapp didn't fancy him!

Moyes did fancy him but the fact of the matter is we cant afford him. I seen a lot more than undoubted talent. He was one of the best players on the pitch every time he played.

Moyes made those comments because he knew we didnt have 5 million never mind 12 million. He was a quality player and probably the best player at the club except Arteta.
