Change Of Chairman

Comments (2)

I know all those who want the Club to move to Kirkby will undoubtedly be up in arms at the 'negative' aspect of this post. However, having just listened to the debate on Radio Merseyside earlier this evening, it would seem that the only person at the club who will abide by the outcome of the vote, especially if that vote is No, is our Chairman Mr Kenwright.

Keith Wyness did not say that Everton Football Club would abide by the decision but stated that it was the Chairman's wish to have the vote and that he as Chairman would abide by it. So what happens if Mr Kenwright decides not to seek re-election to be Chairman? I have also noticed in the past couple of months that Mr Wyness (probably in error) has been referred to as the Chairman.

That doesn't sound like a likely scenario, to be honest, John. Kenwright handing over the reins to Wyness, that is, not the "No" vote winning :)

Sounds like Wyness moving the goalposts again or even shifting the responsibility onto Kenwright. Maybe he’s getting the feeling that a NO vote may be forthcoming.
What chance on Everton coming out this week and throwing the weight behind the Loop site. Strategic Retreat perhaps, here’s to hoping.

Personally I don’t think Wyness cares which way the vote goes(other than possible bonuses).
As an employee he will have been given the remit to fulfill to the best of is abilities.
A lot of people doubt his abilities from both camps.
