You have to vote Yes!

Comments (7)

  • Voting Yes means the club continue to talk to Knowsley & Tesco.
  • Voting Yes means we have an 'out' if LCC & Bestway can't deliver.
  • Voting Yes means we instantly become a better investment prospect.
  • Voting Yes makes the club stronger in all respects, it gives us the chance to say to LCC, put up or shut up, you've had your chance.
  • Voting Yes makes Tesco sit up and take notice that the fans know a good deal when they see one and are putting our faith in them to deliver the right kind of stadium.
  • Voting No however, kills off the chance of a link up with a giant UK company with endless opportunities.
  • Voting No means no leverage with LCC in any negotiations.
Just vote yes to give our club a fighting chance, what have you got to lose?

Tommy Kenwright wants to move to Kirkby why would he win the vote then explore other avenues if its a yes vote then there really is no plan B,But if its rejected and then found to be the best option as Tesco are so keen they would come back to the table.Vote the way you feel is right but please don’t kid yourself there is a way back after you have voted I am voting No because there are too many unknowns Kenwright only lets out the minimum information if its so good show us the full picture IE where is the money for the overspend of the budget coming from as we are told we are liable and no buildings come in on budget so there fore we will be in debt that’s just one example please read everything then make your decision I respect your choice either way but reserve the right to disagree

Gievn the increased income streams and also inceased gate receipts of the new Stadium, if necessary, surely any additional financing could readily be secured against a portion of the increased income. Naturally, the board would shop around for the best deal on this, therefore it would be inappropriate to commit to any one finance source right now.

Or quite simply the money will come from increased ticket prices.

I’m not sure that when you are already in debt that you can borrow money on the basis that it will be repaid by raising the prices or that more people can get into a bigger shop. And don’t forget that Everton will not own it but merely have it on a 199 year lease which, I think, means that if the Bank foreclose they cannot knock it down and build something else. So what use is an unwanted football ground to a Bank and would Tesco’s supermarket have to go as well?

I just dont see us increasing our attendances by moving to Kirkby.
I think those who wont travel will be replaced by curious locals, but no increase.
The most important thing is the team, and I dont see any evidence of the board investing heavily to improve whats playing week in week out.
Surely a cup run in Europe would generate more interest for league games and increase our profile, but our squad looks paper thin for a moral boosting run.

There appears to be a perception that we’re getting the Kirby deal for free, but it’s going to cost us £50 million.

Forget the arguments of in or outside of Liverpool (I was born in Walton but lived in Bootle and until this started it never even crossed my mind that Bootle and Kirby weren’t part of Liverpool)

The question is, are we getting the best deal for our money, will it bring the club more success and do you want to be in a stadium with 10,000+ empty seats?

We need investment on the pitch, backing for Moyes and a reasoned set of options which would include:
Kirby
The loop
Moving to Anfield whilst Goodison is rebuilt.

A decent businessman would take a ’Yes’ vote as a means of leaning on LCC to investigate other options.
The board don’t have this nouse - so vote NO!.

Given the frighttners put on us by the board - I would say No.

Mr Coyne, far from being a Kenwrighter I would have hung him off the end of the Kings Dock when he f**ked that one up!! But since then the club has driven forward, slowly both on/off the pitch, due in most part to Moyse n Wyness but both have been chosen by Kenwright. We cannot live in the past any longer, GP will never earn more than it is now so it?s plain to see it?s time to leave. We have not got a single offer from anybody else to invest in the club or stadium... (Do you think Kenwright could be doing the same as Jack Hayward at Wolves when he said his club is an English club and wants it to remain so?) Tesco is to all intents and purposes a Giant UK retailer currently testing its mettle in the USA, Europe & China, it invests where it believes it will make money and seldom backs losers.. They?ve chosen to be associated with Everton (Leahey as CEO can only suggest, he does not decide policy) therefore the board/shareholders have decide a link up with Everton is a good deal, so tell me again what we gain by saying No?
