I would be grateful if you could provide a link to Mickey Blue Eyes' article on the stadium vote over at Bluekipper. His thoughts I believe add some intelligent clarity to the subjects surrounding the debate.

I accept that I have no right to place my ’stadium views’ on record when for one reason or another , I will probably not be a regular visitor to Goodison during the remaining part of my life.
I simply hope that ....whatever the decision ........the disagreeing parties will go with the majority and keep our ’School of Science’ together.
Some of the greatest days of my life were spent with my girlfriend , my kids and my wife at Goodison.
My lad once led the team out as mascot............blah , blah , blah.
I am an old fella now but I beg the many readers of this site to keep united.
It breaks my bloody heart to read Evertonians dissing other good Blues.
There was never a time when it was more important for us to be solid.
Read Mickey .........agree or not ....he is an intelligent man with a blue , blue Evertonian heart who usually makes good sense in his writing.
The future ......who bloody knows but I will promise you one thing.............it is going to feel a whole lot better after we lift three points from Wigan on Saturday.
I never met a new season I didn’t like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We’ll be fine........eh ???

in the Ward McHugh Associates Feasibility Study, June 2000, Part C, once available on the internet but now, alas, no more. Fortunately I printed out a copy before it disappeared. In the study section titled ?Impact of Redevelopment? the first paragraph states:
?Redeveloping on exactly the same footprint would not allow for increase in capacity or for the provision of adequate corporate or commercial facilities. Neither would it provide an appropriate setting for the type of stadium the club wish to develop. It would be essential for the club?s future to secure a larger site area and consider the redevelopment of the whole of the site bounded by Goodison Road, Gwladys Street and Walton Lane.?
So, once again, the existing site is too small, the setting unsuitable. Of course, no responsible or competent architectural professional is likely to come to any other decision. At least, not if he is serious about improving the club?s status in the modern game as opposed to clinging to an erroneous concept of local society and football?s place therein.

Redeveloping on exactly the same footprint would not allow for increase in capacity or for the provision of adequate corporate or commercial facilities - Tom Hughes concept disproves that assertion.
Neither would it provide an appropriate setting for the type of stadium the club wish to develop. - It would depent on what sort of ground the Club had told Ward McHugh they want to build.
If they’d have gone to Ward McHugh and said design me a ground with a 50,000 seat capacity that fits into the current footprint I’m sure Ward McHugh would have done an admirable job, as Tom Hughes has done.

Yes I would like to think I am one of the sensible fans. The reason I’ve voted no is not because I’m against the idea of going to Kirkby. But because I feel that the Club is forcing this issue down the throat of the fans.
I would have liked more time to hear both sides of the argument.
For Wyness as CEO to come out with statements such as there is no plan B does not impress me at all. If I was an investor in the club I would certainly be questioning his ability to run the business.
It just adds to my feeling that this whole thing is being rushed and it makes me question the motives of the powers that be.

So, question is: are you one of these sensible fans? :p
