Request for those in construction

Could you IT geniuses at TW please put some kind of counter on the home page, which shows the amount construction costs start to increase by as time goes on? You know, like Gmail do as you login, and it shows how much extra space you're getting. Then maybe you could add a sub-counter, Cost to Everton?

Before I get lynched, one of the big problems in the UK is the spiralling costs of construction. Look at Wembley (bad example maybe), look at Arsenal (better example). Methinks more than a little contingency will need to be found by someone, whether it be Kirkby, Goodison, The Loop or the Dark Side of The Moon.

As only a layperson who thinks he has some common sense how about this;

Labour cost’s have fell dramatically due to the input of new European arrivals in construction(namely from Poland).

Building materials are at there lowest cost fo ten years(fact).

Fixed price contact like Wembley. If you over shoot the quote blame yourself. Use reputable buiding company without sub- contracting.

Lots of people taking in by all sorts of propaganda.

Blue from Bolton, still using one-liners. Keep it up, thick git.

Robert, I kknow you said your a layperson so I’ll politely point out that the prices of steel and copper (the 2 most used materials in construction,along with cement) are at their HIGHEST prices EVER.

It’s a while since I did construction costing but I think it’s somewhere in the order of 4X in the last 10 years.

So where didy ou get your (fact)?

He must have got his costs from china. After they bought the worlds supply to quadrouple prices.

I think bolton blue thinks the stadium is getting built there.
