The Mail Bag

Crazy Forum.

Hey, I think this forum IS GREAT... If we buy no-one and get a loan-signing (Manny) then it's a smokescreen against lack of activity. If we try (at least rumour to try) to get someone then it's a smokescreen for Kirkby... If we want to buy cheap players then naturally people will say that its shows lack of aspirations, but if we try to buy expensive then same guys will speak about all sorts of conspiracies... Maan this is crazy. Micheal/Lyndon I suggest you start a TV channel, we have plenty of soap writers (complete with the conspiracies) here :-).

Since we opened the gates to individual comment, the level of utter twaddle submitted has risen considerably. Given the increased traffic and the ridiculous nature of some of these "beliefs" being expounded on our pages, I'm thinking the this is tolerable only if people are prepared to put their names to all this nonsense. So in future, we will be delteing material that does not carry a full name and a valid e.mail address.

The sudden influx of new posters who have suddenly appeared since the stadium vote was mooted. The majority in the 'yes' camp? They never give a full name just a pseudonym. They never give a coherent explanation regarding why they will be voting 'yes'. They invariably 'flame' any 'no' vote opinion but don't engage in debate. I smell a PR information management rat or two.

I'm bound to think that - there's more spin coming from the Everton media management team over Kirkby than an entire season of Shane Warne bowling into the rough. So, you 'yes' campaigners, have the bottle to stand by your often glib comments and convictions with a real name... and for fucks sake give us some facts and coherently argued opinion instead of childish point-scoring. Let's hear your case for a change so we can challenge it?

What the hell ya talking about Kevin. The yes votes always back up there position with figures, since the Kirkby move is the only one that has any details attached to it. Tesco and Knowsley are assisting with the payment of the land for the stadium. LCC have already stated they will not. The proposed stadium in Kirkby is part of a massive redevelopment/regeneration of the entire area, which will include shops, hotels, and roads, and public transport is also being discussed. The loop site is too small to accomodate a stadium of the size we are looking for. The Goodison redevelopment is not possible, as the size is not big enough, but more importantly there is not assistance with the financing of such a task. Revenue will go up since there are more seats to fill, and more corporate facilities, which generate a great amount of money for sports teams. This prospect will make us more appealing to investment, as we will have a new stadium in a redeveloped area, capable of bringing in more money, which makes the investor more money, which allows us to buy better players, capable of winning trophyies, which will keep the fans coming out to watch.

And you want to talk about childish point scoring, have you never read Tony Marsh? But you prefer to not believe anything the club say, will believe anything the LCC say all of a sudden and believe it is a conspiracy that the club have decided to invest in infiltrating the toffeeweb mailbag somehow. Yeah, that’s what’s going on, Wyness has infiltrated Toffeeweb.

YAWN!!!!

Everything has to be a PR exercise on behalf of the Pro-Kirkby voters!!!

I suppose the people who say they will vote no and always go under a pseudonym, and swear at their fellow colleagues are conveniently forgotten about as always to back your argument up.

So why don’t you No voters, back your arguments up with clear and concise reasons instead of getting hissy and namecalling like a child everytime somebody says they will vote Yes.

Michael/Lyndon, I’m sure it will all settle down once the vote is concluded and the transfer window closes ...... or will it?

Oh noMichael, does this mean the demise of good old Dutch again? And after he’s now consistently managed to spell his name right too??

Who’s next to go Luq Yus(sef). He’s been quiet lately actually. Did you finally cotton on that it’s not his real name?
