Dodgy phone call

Comments (5)

Has anyone else had a dodgy sounding phone call from a company claiming to be a financial partner of the club?

They asked for some of my personal details in exchange for entry into a free prize draw....sounded very dodgy and i'd be annoyed if EFC had sold on my personal phone details.

Anyone else had this?

Yeah I got one yesterday. I gave them some details but told them I defintely wouldn’t be buying anything they were trying to sell.

They claimed they weren’t selling anything but then they mentioned something about buying a car in the next three years and where I could get one. I just told them I wasn’t interested. Nice lass though, didn’t seem anything dodgy in it to me.

I have had a call claiming that I would be entered into a draw with the prize being training day with the players, players lounge entry etc etc. After some initially benign questions the enquiries appeared to become more personal at which point I terminated the onversation.

Didn’t feel kosher to me.

Strange thing for me was that they already had my details they just asked me to confirm them.

Someone left a message on my answering machine (ringing during the day when I’m at work - pointless) and mentioned car sales. They’ve not rung back since.
