Could some of the Yes voters tell me this? If the situation were reversed and it was Liverpool planning a McStadium outside the city and we were building on Stanley park would we be celebrating? Of course we would! Wouldn't we be saying the same things about their project that the No voters are saying about this project? Of course we all would! Yes voters seem to be so sold on the platitudes and doubletalk that they're not seeing reality. This is a third rate stadium in a fourth rate dump, on land that is valueless. It's not about emotion for me. You're all in denial about what this stadium is going to be like. Crap.

If the proposed stadium in Kirkby is third rate then what the hell is Goodison Park? I’ll try this one more time, the move is part of an overall redevelopment of the entire area, we are not putting a stadium in the location and leaving everything around it as is. And since when is Walton one of the finest spots of land in the country. It is full of run down businesses, and honestly a run down football stadium. She was great in her day, but times have changed.

Well said, Dylan
I’d posted this as a comment to an earlier post....I think it really belongs here. Great minds etc. ---
The advocates of the Kirkby move often warn against "emotion". Football feeds on emotion. Would you get 40000 gates to watch a chess match?. I just can?t get over the fact that when a group of Blues gather together at do?s, in wedding halls or kitchens at parties etc we can never again raise the roof with the ?Battle Hymn of Everton Football Club?. Altogether now, one last time -
?We?re the lads from Goodison that you all know
We?re the boys from the banks of the ......Alt!?
And from where will our children be hanging the Kopites?

This ridiculous, ignorant and uninformed post needs to be treated with the contempt it deserves.

"...in a fourth rate dump, on land that is valueless."

Yeah mate, you talk loads of sense. Been to Walton recently? Or Scotty Road for that manner.

Bloody idiot.

just a small thought,if both clubs had to move out to KIRKBY,would the doubters feel the same animosity about leaving G.P.

Dylan, Just moved from the dump of Walton and moved up market to Kirkby. Before you put hasty comment on here check your facts:
Lowest crime rates than 95% of Merseyside. Huge BUSINESS investment, most of which is from private enterprise and not EU, and to cap it all off a major move forward for the club. You state your article is not about emotion but maybe with a small lump in your throat but a smill on your face you should be saying ’Yes GP was our home, we moved, I have fond memories, but like everybody else who wants to move on and improve themselves Kirkby is the way forward’.There really is no need to be slagging off were people live, some people are not as fortunate to live where they would like, but as I have already stated I chose Kirkby for all my reasons. I have an opinion of Kirkby like I have of other areas but keep it too my self if it may cause hurt to others.

Would be more than happy to chat about constructive criticism but chuckle at fools who have not got the forethought to build a comment on debate and try to entice a comment rather than to be offence.

p.s. Take it your vote will be no and then you will ever enter the Town of Kirkby to watch the blues!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

Dylan, you’re right.

Lets build an even crappier stadium on a roundabout with absolutely no money whatsoever to put in instead!

Even better, lets stay and rot in the dump that was once the envy of the country and be laughed at be every other club in the league (apart from Fulham), more importantly, those other wankers with their new Anfield just a couple of hundred yards away.

If the Boundary was moved a mile up the road tomorrow, this wouldn’t be a problem.
