There's a match on Saturday, by the way

I've just come home to find my ballot paper (still undecided, change my mind every day), have checked Radio City, teletext, websites and the next door neighbour's cat for any news of Yakubu and Manny signing — and then it struck me: I've a match to go to on Saturday!
Seldom have I been so preoccupied close season with such little thought to the coming season.
I do hope that if there is any fallout over Kirkby on Saturday, that public hostilities are concluded well before kick off.
I want a wall of sound to SUPPORT the team once the players emerge. COYB!

Your right Ray Robinson I will be dissapointed if there are any fallouts on saturday. The only thing I will be singing is "GET MANNY BACK". No but really the team needs and deserves our support and hopefully they will get it. Lots of people think we are going to be the darkhorses this season and I really hope so. People like Baines, Pienaar, Jagielka and hopefully Fernandes are definatly going to put us on another level.

The title says it all. Can’t wait.

Totally agree Ray. No banners etc everyone behind the team.Three points is ALL that matters on Saturday. As we saw in the second half against Portsmouth the atmosphere can change the game.

Well said. There’s been so much focus on the potential Kirkby move in recent weeks that the new season has almost caught us unawares. I, for one, am looking forward to see how Everton come out of the blocks. I reckon we’re looking pretty solid at the back now, and there’s potential in the midfield (which will be added to in spades if we can get Manny). But AJ will have to carry a lot on his shoulders if we’re going to convert the draws to wins (especially with Vaughan and, for a while at least, Cahill injured). Intersting times...

regarding blaming those cunts for what happens on saturday. You have not been following the debate. Everyone both for and against want the blues to win on saturday. This is the most important season in the history of EFC,I do not state this easily.
No doubt Everton will have their banners proclaiming the proposed move whilst using stewards on the gate to quell any dissent in front of the worlds media. As stated previuos everyone wants the blues to go forward, a lot of us just disagree with the blueprint offered by the board.

well said Ray, we all have an opinion re the stadium though I can’t express mine yet as my ballot paper has NOT arrived. Okay, I live in wild and woolly Wales but my mate who lives in the same road has got hers on Tuesday. The game tomorrow is about supporting the team, after all, we want success don’t we. If I want to have a go at the board I’ll stand OUTSIDE the ground with my banner ( i never would in reality because I’m a wimp)but once inside that wonderful place, my only shouts will be for the team. Just thinking about being there is giving me goose bumps! Come on you Blues.

If anyone decided to have a go at the board at the game then surely that would fall into the freedom of speech area, they would have paid the same amount as people around them and complaints would be directed at the board for what they see as ongoing failings and mismanagement. In a democracy these things shouldn’t be shunned as they might not meet your views the same way that this noticeboard might not reflect your views and then again it might, I’ve even noticed a higher rate of people slagging off the guys that run the site but guess what, they publish your views. A display against the board as long as it doesn’t transcend into violence which I can’t see happening.
