Saturday Protest

Comments (11)

There have been posts recently about keeping Goodison Park this Saturday protest-free. I couldn't have agreed more; it should be about getting Everton off to a good start etc. However, Wyness's recent comments really angered me.

I get the feeling that the Everton Board, who once told us earlier that its too early to hit the panic button, have finally hit it themselves. Moyes told us not too long ago that we wouldn't be forced into making excessive bids for players unnecessarily like other clubs have. £10M for Yakubu... I get an overwhelming sense that everything is a total mess at the moment, and that Saturday's game is an ideal time for fans to voice that dissatisfaction to the Board. We have learnt that they cannot be trusted in what they say. I hope all this vile, sickening propaganda surrounding the move is apparent to everyone voting.

Perhaps the answer is for both the YES & NO voters to unite on Saturday to voice their disgust at Mr Wynnes? As some have suggested, he may be relying on supporter divide in order to support the highly suspect business decision tactics at a later date ? Saturday's game could be an opportunity for the 'supporters' to unite.

Some may say that this could distract the football on the pitch ? even if this was true, our long-term future may be worth 3 points if a powerful enough message is sent vocally. It could be argued that such passion and protest may even spur the players on. What better opportunity will Evertonians ever get to express themselves, or exercise their right to protest? If time really is running out, we need to show our dissatisfaction sooner rather than later.

Why would everyone unite against Mr Wyness when not everyone is against him?

Some people are just never satisfied are they? They whinge when we wont stump up the likes of £6 million for Nugent (no prem league expierience) or 60k a week on Smith but then when we do finally put a realistic bid (in todays market) for a proven premiership goal scorer they still go on at the board! Make your minds up!

Forget it pal. Most of us are sick to the back teeth of this whole affair and just want to watch our beloved Blues step out and take all three points tomorrow. Protest outside after the game if you lot deem it necessary, but dont ruin the start of what could be a great season. To be honest I cannot see it happening anyway.

Couldnt agree more, stand outside if you feel you must but certainly wont be singing anything negative or derogatorty inside the ground. These so called fans are gonna damage the team on the pitch, we need to get behind the lads and keep yuor protests were the players wont see them!

I can only hope you are in a very small minority of people who believe such a protest either (a) necessary or (b) worthwhile.

I really really dont want to see any protests tomorrow inside the ground.

It would be a fruitless exercise and distract from the important stuff. Besides nothings been decided yet anyway.

Lets just cheer on the blues on what will be an eagerly awaited opening fixture and hopefully a 7-0 win for the blues.

Everton!! Everton!! GOD I LOVE THIS FUCKING CLUB!!!!!!

If you are talking about what KW said about the Loop (and I assume you are) why should I protest... because I think he is dead right? Just try answering the questions he asks! It seems that as far as KEIOC and their ilk are concerned they are usually ’angered’ by people who don’t agree with them aren’t they?. As for Saturday, I will be there supporting the team and for at least 90 minutes the ’business’ side of things, including the stadium issue, will not enter my head. Do your protesting elsewhere if you don’t mind.

That is pathetic. It’s the first game of the season and you want to protest the people running the club. Instead, everyone should be singing their hearts out for the players to spur them on and drown your pathetic cries out. Cry when we don’t bid for players, then call it panic when we bid for established premier league stars. You just make no bloody sense.

For God’s sake drop the quest for the bloody loop - its too bloody small, will take 5 years to get any nod from the forever incompetent council, and who’s going to bloody well pay for it.

If you want a future like it or lump it vote for Kirkby.

From what i have read in the press and listened on he radio, they are in favour of pro everton, ie, Wyness quotes. So if the media arn,t listening to the plan b and c,s. How do we get our feeling across?. I,m not saying we should protest during the football match, but maybe at half time, we should voice our concerns, because those who stay in their cacoons, who come into the city for the match then fly out after,ie boardroom members, will never get to know our feelings.
