A Minor Oversight

Comments (2)

I'd like to take a moment to thank the developers of the official Everton FC website - their inclusion of a comments facility attached to selected news articles and the "thumbs up" device give fans a real opportunity to weave their opinions into the fabric of the site.

Further, the club's desire to make wide use of open letters as part of their relocation campaign belies a great deal of verve and passion underpinning the administration's strong belief that Kirkby is the right option.

Curiously, however, the site managers appear to have made something of an oversight - these open letters don't have fan comments enabled. This is a clear technical error for Keith Wyness' letter - at the very least - given the sequence of questions seeking answers. I can only imagine that Mr Wyness is feeling frustrated at the dearth of response but I can't comprehend why he hasn't brought this up with the technical staff to ensure its speedy resolution.

Hopefully this will all be remedied quickly to ensure that the well-considered and balanced views put forth by the club can take their proper place as the starting point for enlightened discourse and dialogue between the fans and the club they dearly love. It would certainly serve to diminish wholly devilish cries of propaganda that are blighting such a crucial issue.

Excellent letter, I’d noticed that too! Funny how you can comment on most articles, but when Wyness dissed every no-voting Evertonian, there was no right of response - except the offer to give him a thumbs up!

I know where he can stick his thumb up.....
