Corporate Hospitality

Comments (6)

I'm sure I'm opening myself to a tide of abuse from some of the regulars on here... but here goes. I don't suggest Everton will guarantee to sell out at a new ground but I'm sure you will get a big increase in takers.

Whether people care about corporate seats is debatable but the club clearly believes that this is a positive revenue stream. They did the analysis.... so we take it their figures add up?! Not defending a move but I'm pretty certain that the empty seats are due to the facilities ? not the impoverished Merseysiders!

For the record, I think GP can be one of the most atmospheric stadiums in England... I will shed a tear like the rest of you if she is to close her doors for good.

A lot of nonsense has been talked about us being unable to fill the seats in a new stadium, even if it is in Kirkby. Build it and they will come. The constraints at Goodison dictate current crowd size and capacity. That's one thing I think the No camp have got wrong.

Forget the hospitality boxes i want a new shirt! i can only assume that an evertonia member got my seat and i ended up on row QQ in the lower Gwladys...you know the row in the toilets. Anyway sat along the fence, pulled all my brand new top on the rusty railings and cut my knuckles on the ceiling when we scored.

I dont get a vote because i do not have a seaon ticket even though i go to evry home game and virtually every away game....think after saturday i would probably vote yes to be honest....just to save my knuckles.

Yes, getting a pint was a nightmare - that q’ing system is just awful and there seemed to be some serious teething problems with the pumps etc.
Yes, having a slash at half time was the usual scrum (and was that smoking I could see tut tut)
Yes, some would have restricted view
Yes the ground has seen better days

but you know what when I took a look around the old place when Z Cars started up, the hairs on the back of the neck bristled.

When we started passing the ball around with some confidence and ickle Leon looped one in I couldnt care less about coporate boxes, alternative income streams, loan ammortisation etc etc...

My vote will be No...until someone can convince me beyond any shadow of a doubt that the move will benefit Everton the Football Club...not Everton the balance sheet

Your right Chris, Maybe if we actually served all the people who wanted to buy something at half time we would be able to compete. Would it be too difficult to have on 5 extra staff? about £25 by my reckoning, they would get that back in 8 pints and would it be too difficult to have people constantly pouring pints and have a system were they’re half full and just need topping up instead every pint being served to order...pissup...brewery!

Feel exactly the same Chris - when Z cars starts up that’s it for me, restricted view as I had on Saturday or no restricted view. All us blues should have it on our mobiles... I have and when my mobile goes, it irritates the hell out of the red shite supporters in my office!!

Of course if I was in to conspiracy theories I could suggest that behind the scenes the first game teething troubles will be touted as a cast iron reason for a move to somewhere more modern!

Oh and P.S., trotting the players out to publicly and officially support the move is a cynical PR stunt and not fooling anyone.

Patty/Chris...I sit in my ’local’ nr Euston Sq. on the way home on Friday’s and it’s a rare evening when you don’t hear the Z-cars ringtone (sometimes it’s my phone). Always, a big cheer goes up from pockets throughout the bar. Made so many friends this way over the years, all over Britain and Ireland.
