Lost for words again...

This subject has been brought up a couple of times in the past but some news this weekend has got me lost for words. The news was that Paul Allen, is looking in to the possibility of buying Southampton!!
For those of us who dont know who this fella is, he's the co-founder of Microsoft and friend to the stars. With a wealth not to far from that of Bill Gates. He also owns the Seattle Seahawks.
Reading a statement (made in April iI think) he calls them a family supported club, with tradtional values an a sleeping giant. If that's Southampton, what the fuck are we!!?
This 24/7 ficticious search for suitbale investors is a joke!! How can we be bypassed by the likes of Southampton!! What makes us such an unattractive proposition for potential investors!? If we are looking for investors surely there would be a glossy, prospectus in distribution, up-selling the clubs qualities?
My gut feeling is the search has stopped (if it ever started) and approaches are being rejected while the stadium issue rumbles on.
I can probably answer my own question on whats makes us a poor investment proposition; 2 city club, debts etc. But the potential, tradition and fan base dwarfes the likes of Man City, Southampton and West ham, so in effect the positives outway the negatives....
....but I'biased.
