The Mail Bag

I am feeling good....

Blues, anyone else feeling pretty good about where we are going? If we can forget the move for the duration of this post, with Howard Jags Yobo Lescott Baines Manny (hopefully) Tiny Arteta Pienaar AJ Big Vic and Vaughny.

That is a class team that is young and is going places. Okay, we have a small squad but we DO have back up or "squad players" that could come in and do a job agianst some of the lesser teams in the prem if we have a few good cup runs. Players Like Neville, Stubbs, Hibbert are all good cover at the back. Carsley, VDM, Ossie are all good cover in the middle. If we do get the Yak from Boro too, we'll have 4 quality strikers.

See you at Reading, as I can't get to Spurs. COYB

Being of Irish Scouser origin, I don’t like to press my superstitious luck by agreeing with you. I may do so after I see what happens against Spurs tomorrow night!! Here’s hoping for a draw, at least, if only to keep my "rabbitting Spurs supporting daughter at bay"!! Mind you, a win would be even better.

I wish people would stop counting Fernandes in the team/squad when talking optimistically about us - I’ll be doing cartwheels if we do sign him up as I think he’s class and will get better a la Arteta when he joined, but at the moment he’s a Benfica player NOT an Everton one so lets just forget about him and look at the squad as it stands now, or on September 1st.
