Everton can't win in London.

Of course we beat Spurs last year, but still I feel this pain in my stomach on a day we travel to the capital. It may only be a mental thing, I don't know if it's really true we lost more points on the way in London than in the rest of the country in recent years...
Am I the only one who feels this way? And is there someone who can take away this feelings by giving an overview of results playing away from Goodison last year, showing it's only my feeling we always lose in London? Again, I know we defeated Spurs and tied against Arsenal and Chelsea last year, but I feel last year was an exception... And we still lost the Fulham and Hammers games.

Correct me if I am wrong Erik but isn’t confidence a major factor in football matches? Shouldn’t Everton go there expecting to be able to compete?

just read this on the offical site,i knew it was poor but it can’t be true surely, have we not beaten west ham a couple of times in that period?
"We have only two Premiership wins in London in five years ? at Crystal Palace in August 2004 and Spurs last season."

Have to agreed that on the whole London Clubs seem the bane of EFC’s life and we lose a lot of the games we play in London. Last year was different and we only lost the Fulham game thanks to a prat of a referee

As long as I can remeber we have had a serious problem with wins in London thats why I was all the more astonished with last years win at Spurs..Probably our most complete perfomance in the capital for many a year..Its not just White Hart Lane though.. We have won only once at Chelsea since 1990 and Chelsea were never much cop throughout the mid 90’s.. Our record at Arsenal is outrageous, we gained our first point in that fixture last season for the first time since January 1996..Fulham is awful so far..Charlton we struggled to win there in the last four or five seasons..Theres only West Ham and Selhurst Park where we have half decent records..Its psychological

We very rarely win in London, but that doesn’t mean we lost all the games. We drew Arsenal, Chelsea and Charlton and beat Spurs in London last year. Hopefully we can turn that around a bit this year, although I’ll still take the draws against Arsenal and Chelsea.

David..Last year we had a fantasic record in London compared with years gone by..Nobody wins at Chelsea these days anyway and Arsenal maybe we are getting closer to a win there as they may be in transition..I will take draws again though your right with that..

Totally agree Ray, I shouldn’t have said turn it around. What I meant is that we should be able to start beating the likes of Fulham in London about now. I know we haven’t done it in years, but we are a different team these days. It really does seem to be a psychological thing.

Just watched the match - what a pile of crap. Sack Moyes now! We’ll never manage to win in London will we.

Worse than neveer winning in London I’m sure the commentator said that last season we only won 4 away games.
Is that correct or did my ears deceive me?

Erik; After todays win you might think your comments are a ’bridge too far’. You are obviously after my position as the worlds worst tipster.
