Just a little poll. I think the vote is going to be quite close judging by the letters and articles displayed on TW and other sites. Although I am redin more and more pro-kirkby supporters coming on the sites of late. I wonder how many of the people who vote no will stop going to watch Everton if the vote goes for the move. I know Tony Marsh has already said he won't...

Anyone who says they’ll stop supporting Everton can just go now. We don’t need that type of "supporter" and I sure as hell don’t want them.

I would go and watch Everton in Timbuktu if I had to. Although Kirkby is closer.

Very, very few I whould think.

Even old misery-arse would probably still go, in spite of him telling us otherwise.

Once Everton has touched you.....

Many of the no camp seem to throw their toys out the pram when they don’t get their own way. Accordingly I think their childish tantrum will blow over and they’ll get behind them team if and when the fantastic stadium in Kirkby for us is up and running (which will be the best in Merseyside, unlike the planned crass structure the shite are going for!)

Don’t be taken in by website polls they are not very representative of ’ the average Evertonian’

I will not renew my season tickets if we uproot to Kirkby. EFC has been such a large part of me and my familys life that I couldn’t take it to watch my beloved club wither away, which I believe will happen sooner rather than later. I remember Kenwright saying with pride that he was only a custodian of the club and it will be here long after he’s gone. Well I think he’s in the process of destroying it whilst he’s still here. Scared stiff of the life changing vote, and please don’t accuse me of not being a true blue, NOW that would be childish.

So long Kevin. The only thing I would ask is that if your assessment proves wrong, and we go on to win things in our stadium in Kirkby, you don’t try to come back and celebrate Everton’s success. As all of the no votes say, there is no going back.

Actually Kevin, I’m going to take that back. If the move proves successful I would want you to reconsider your position and come back, as once this vote is over I just want all Evertonians to unite again. So I apologize for my previous statement.

I put this city on par, in football support, with Glasgow. If one of these teams supporters were put in the same situation as we are in, for a so-called free stadium and all, do you think they would vote to leave their place of origin?

I’ll vote no but I won’t change my match-going habits. But hey, I only get to see two or three games a year in the stadium, so what do I know?

Hopefully some European games near my current hometown so I can see the boys some more this year!

Colin,

Very interesting point...if it made any sense. Neither Rangers nor Celtic can ever be in the situation we are in because both had the money and the room to redevelop on the original footprint. We don’t have either so our situation is very different and needs a different solution.

I can?t imagine anyone not continuing to support Everton even after a move. However, there are two issues. One is, is it any longer Everton? Once you have taken Everton out of the city and the city out of Everton, what you have left is a different entity. The other is what happens to Everton once all the hype about great chunks of extra revenue and so on turns out to be crap and we are crippled by more debt.
