Praise Where It Is Due!

Last season, I hammered David Moyes on this website for his lack of guts in that last period of the home game with Spurs. Balls were located after that and tonight was maybe the ultimate proof that Moyes has learned from that mistake.

Maybe the best thing about this great start to the new season was Moyes's decision to keep on pressing Spurs in the second half even with a two-goal lead. But for Robinson, we could have had another three in the second half as well.

More of that please, Blues !

Last season Moyes deserved to get hammered for what happened at home to spurs. Tonite was a different ball game - showing faith in his team playing two up top away against what were touted as the next big thing. Well done lads. More of the same please at Reading on Sat!!

Moyes has made mistakes, as has every manager. But look around the league and show me how many managers have been more successful in our financial situation. We have one of the best managers around, the "pundits" and commentators constantly say so. We had every right to voice our displeasure after the home loss to Spurs last season and were right to do so. But the man gets it right far more often, and my God the future is looking bright boys. Robert Earl has money, he’s now on the board, and if he sees the potential for success he will put the money into the team to buy any player, which is what I believe is happening with Fernandes. The other thing is, Earl has connections aplenty, being in Hollywood and Las Vegas. If he can propose a good product to the millionaires that he knows in Vegas and Los Angeles they will invest in this club. I honestly believe that the new stadium will bring this investment on, and if we are winning things, that stadium will be full in Kirkby. We get nearly 40,000 in their now when we haven’t won a thing, how can anyone tell me that those fans plus another 10,000 won’t travel 4 miles up the road to watch a team competing for trophies on a regular basis.
