The Mail Bag

Live in New Zealand

Watched the blues for the first time this season live on Sky Sports this morning, 8:00am kick off. This really this was a superb win; Spurs with all their money and signings couldn?t breakdown the outstanding defence of Stubbs, Yobo and Lescott and to a lesser extent Hibbert.

There are four points I feel are worth mentioning:

Moyes is showing faith in the team that got us into Europe last year and making the newcomers fight for a place
We must be the only team who has yet to have a player booked
Yobo did not come off with a minor injury, this is possibly due to the competition for players is that position.
Osman is performing like he fears for his place

Well done, Moyesee!

And all of our scorers have been british lads! Very significant considering the influx of foreigners
and the lack of choice at international level.

Ossie is playing like he should have done last season. The reason behind this is the signing of Pienaar. Its put a rocket right up Ossies ass. Ossie got complacent last season because he realised that AVDM wasn’t really gonna challenge him for his place. This season is a different proposition. Expect to see more from ossie in the next few games.
