Transfer up-date

Surely the L'pool Echo are having a laugh (put the check book away till January) if Arteta gets injured, the craft will have gone. Can anyone up-date me with what is happening with Manny and Yakubu, read that Manny had travelled to London to tie up the deal, Yobo states that he wants Yakubo at the club, every tabloid seem to think we have tied up the Manny deal, can someone explain why it is taking so long?

I reckon it’s the 3rd party aspect (50% owned by MSI) that is with the Premier League for ratification. They are taking their time so as not to F&ck it up, a la Tevez. This is just a hunch tho, I dunno for sure. Fingers crossed for positive confirmation we have signed him soon. The boy is true world class in ability and potential :-)

The lack of information from the OS about Fernandes is really frustrating. Not one single post. Benfica have confirmed that they have accepted our offer, it’s not exactly a secret that Manny has been up here for talks, so why not at least acknowledge these facts ?

Three things still need to happen : Manny has to agree personal terms; Everton have to come to an agreement with this other company; and then the deal has to be ratified by the FA. This may all take some time, but once Manny has committed to us I will relax.

There have been hints and rumours that we could make an increased bid for Yakubu - I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear something on this in the next few days.
