An Open Letter... to James McFadden

Dear James,

Last season you scored, for me, the goal of the season. On Saturday you brilliantly teased the Reading defence and curled a ball with again considered skill which unfortunately hit the bar.

I can forgive you for a career with Everton that so far has been a bit shite because with the skill at your distribution we can all hope you really do become the 'Scottish Rooney'. What I can't forgive you for is against Reading, becomeing the 'Scottish Ronaldo' by taking the biggest, blatantest, cheapest, filthiest cheating dive that any player in a royal blue shirt has taken in seasons.

The integrity of Everton players is something that keeps my head held high when we're playing crap and losing games, and would never expect one of us to stoop so low... or indeed fall flat on their arse. You recieved a yellow card, I'd have given you a slap.

Yours Sincerely,

Nick

An Open Letter to James McFadden....

Dear James,

What happened to that weasel tail that you had when you first joined us? You were good when you had that. Then you cut it off, and you went shit. Like Samson losing all of his powers when he lost his hair you lost all your skill when you cut the weasel tail off.

..and if he had got the penalty and we’d have scored it?

fair play and all that, fcuk it. I’d have took the point with a smile and said well done personally.

I was right in line with it and he looked like he could’ve got through and got a shot off - poor effort all round Saturday.

My how pious we have got since the Wimbledon game, I don’t remember many whinging when Anders Limpar ’earned’ us a penalty.

That point having been made, I hate divers as much as anybody.
