Fernandes deal

Comments (13)

Why is everyone moaning about not signing Fernandes? I can assure you he is definitely going to sign. Even if we didn't sign him before the transfer window, the Premier League would let us sign him. Both Liverpool with Maschereano and Chelsea with Ashley Cole where done after the deadline because the deals where arranged before. Does anyone remember the last time we signed Manny on loan? It went right down to the last day because it is a complicated deal.

From what I have heard at this moment in time we part-own him with another party, like Benfica did. We are negotiating with the third party to sell the other half so that we can own him fully. The negativity is getting very annoying. He is in Liverpool and he is training at Bellfield.

Conner, you may well be right; time will tell. The Golden Rule, however, is they are not signed until we see them paraded at Goodison Park, blue shirt in hand, smiling manager at side. Until then, cynicism (it's not negativity) is quite rightly the order of the day, wherever he may be training.

I think he signed last Friday. He & we are waiting for clearance to parade him. Shouldn’t be a problem. Now Yak thats a different story.

Just wondered like, but how do you know he has signed..??? Have you seen the pictures??

How do you know he is training with us in Belefield??? Have you seen him???

It would be really something if we signed the two boys Yakubu, and Fernandes, it might be called unprecedented for a club of our stature (Skint for at least 15years) to spend so much.

But like Michael says, until they are paraded on the OS scarf above head, Moyes with his best cheesy smile....then it aint so in my book!!

My Reply : I disagree, i totally disagree.

David Moyes does not have a cheesy smile.

He’s got a nice smile, if u ask me, for a serious person.

With Johnson going home early from the England Training Camp with a dodgy knee I guess we will need a forward as a priority for the weekend!

I think the deal is well done but the complicated paperwork has not. As usual with Everton everything seems to drag on. It would be nice if the club made an official statement just to tell you that and put your mind at rest. I think Boro are trying to get an extra million for Yakubi because they are thinking City will come in for him as they have lost a striker at the weekend

How many times do people need telling to understand that Fernandes has NOT yet signed for Everton?.. There are complications to be ironed out apparently so he has not signed yet..If he had signed at the weekend or Friday as people imagine it would have been on the Official site just as the news of the Wessels signing is today..Do you honestly think if we sign a player for 8 million we are not going to announce and parade it?.He has not signed..He may sign or he may not we will just have to see..

Moyes signs another goal keeper. That’s about the fifth keeper in the last three years. Moyes’ got a thing for goal keepers. Do you think it’s sexual??!

There were pictures of Vogel at Goodison as well and we all know how that ended and we all remember another Portuguese speaker called Muller sitting at a press conferance with Mike Walker !!
I hope he signs I really do but we’ll have to wait and see. That aside if Shitgate wants to be greedy and hold onto Yakubu because he is over priced then he is the one who ultimately will suffer. Firstly Yak is only going to lose value by sitting on the bench at Boro for the next several months and beyond that they are going to have a tough time paying his wages when they are playing in the championship next season in front of even smaller crowds than they currently attract.

If we don’t get Yak I would hope that we get someone else or maybe a couple of folks like Kevin Nolan and Ameobi for example.

Jimmy Hoffa, I hope you realise that your comment about Moyes smile has opened yet another debate about the mans physical qualities.
