Big Foot?

At this stage of the 'game', this post is purely a comment on something that is now irrelevant but is just annoying me a bit. It's the quoted value of the Kirkby land, £50M, which is consistently included by posters and club, not to mention the finance ?expert? Prof Cannon, as part of the ?magical? £150M valuation of ?our? stadium in Kirkby.
But ? and I?m absolutely sure someone will correct me if I?m wrong ? the way I read it was this is the total value of the whole piece of land ?paid for? by Tesco of which our 'footprint' will be the smallest portion. In other words, if you lived in an apartment block which was valued at £20M it doesn?t mean that, because you own one apartment, yours is worth £20M. In my uneducated opinion, this makes ?our? stadium valuation a lot closer to £100M of which we will contribute around £50M.
That?s it, thanks.

God knows Steve, this vote has mostly been about who you choose to believe,I believe KW,BK and Terry Tesco so I voted yes! What the ground is worth I do not know but if it is worth 100M+ then that is about 100M+ more than what Goodison is worth!

Surely you can?t be insinuating that there have been some underhand tactics in the way the figures have been presented. Of course, I am not concerned because Terry Leahy is an Evertonian so everything must be fine. It?s probably something as simple as Tesco lending us their land just for the vote, so no worries there then.
Oh and Stubbsy is probably a shareholder in Tesco, so we are definitely worrying about nothing.

We will be paying rent to whoever owns the land on a 999 year lease so no-one is lending us anything!

As a Tesco clubcard holder will i get a discount on my shopping when I buy a season ticket. Will Tesco Kirkby ban the sale of Carlsberg also. All joking aside Goodison is so dated now with annoying obstructive views and antiquated facilities. The fact you have to tread through the streets full of dogshit to get to the ground after parking were some little shit wants a few quid so he wont scratch your car or his 14yo brother wont hotwire it and take it away. This is the 21st Century to attract players and investment you have to have something show off and Goodison no longer appeals to investors. The New York Giants dont even play in the state of New York they play in New Jersey yet have sold out everyg ame for the last 10 years, I dont suppose NewYorkers give a shit where the ground is as long as they have a decent side to put in it. If you live in Fazakerley or Aintree are you really going be happy to go to say Speke which is in Liverpool City Boundaries to watch Everton instead of just down the road. What has Liverpool City Council done for us the Capital of Culture thing is a joke beyond a joke, The Matthew Street Festival you name it they get it wrong. Creamfields isnt even in Liverpool its in the middle of the Cheshire countryside.

James, no-one is denying that Goodison is out of date and we need a new stadium. However, there is a significant amount of our supporters who want to be convinced that we have examined all the possibilities of staying in the city before we move to Kirkby. And it is abundantly clear that Everton haven’t done this, for various reasons. I personally would not be against the move to Kirkby if this was the case - but I would like to be sure we couldn’t get the same deal, or something similar, within the city limits before we move away from our ’home’. Being in Liverpool is part of the fabric of EFC after all...
