Transfer hold-ups
Comments (9)
Once again we as Everton fans become increasingly frustrated with actually how long it seems to take to complete a transfer. I fully understand that these transfers can take time and if it was an isolated incident we could exept it, but it seems every time we are involved with a transfer we have to have Sky Sports news on for a fortnight to see if we have signed a player.

agree with what your saying but I must admit I am used to it now and if we do pull off Fernandes and Yakubu - it will be worth the long wait - i’m afraid its the Everton way !!! COYB

That is becasue as a poor team, and do remember that apart from Leeds and Chelsea (pre-oil money) we where one of the worst run clubs in the country, and we are still paying for such bad management/investment. we cant just say ’how much? ok, ill get my wallet’ with both player and clubs. We also, and rightly so want a very detailed medical, especially when fee’s and wages are so high. Remember Forssell and Davis, fans on this site where calling for Moyes head because we didn’t sign them, everyone said we would pay for this mistake. since then Forsell scored less goals than beattie, Davis doesnt play for pompey.
Rather than moan, just be happy will soon sign hopefully a 24 year old striker who is second top prem scorer in last 4 seasons, and one of europes most talented midfielders. Unlike west hame who sign a 28 year old, injury prone shite that is Keiron Dyer for 8 million (the same amount as Manny, that I find really amusing) and your unhappy at our dealings?

Get real. Modern transfers take time. Especially complicated ownership situations like Manny. Also we stared Middlesboro down and looks like we saved a million or so on Yak. Better than doing the deal quickly, no? We should be praising the club for landing the right men.

The Manny deal was done ages ago, its only the FA and the Premier League that need to ratify the deal to make it happen. Tevez took weeks to get signed for the same reasons; difference is, this deal has been done properly so will be done quicker, just not quickly.

A couple of weeks ago everyone was moaning because there were no new signings. Now they are complaining because the transfer take to long to complete.
No pleasing some people.

Moaning! no that wasn’t my point.
I am over the moon with the possible latest signings i just feel that in the past we have lost out on players through being indecisive. However this has worked in our favour too i.e Forssel, Davis and Barton.
Anyway who am i to judge well done Mr.Moyes you have esembled the strongest squad i have seen in years and for that i thank you.
