Darren Fletcher

I understand the consequences of going in for this player 'Feeder Club' 'Man U reject'...will all be shouted from roof-tops, however, he is apparently open to offers.

He is a very Moyes-type of player, Young, hard working, can tackle, can pass and is versatile. He also has [occasional] moments of brilliance. He would be an exellent partner for Manny in the middle while offering back-up for Arteta on the right-wing. He has potential to be an exellent player and considering we want to be a european team need a defensive mid who can do more than tackle (no disrespect to Cars or Nev, they are useful and have been very important, but not top-class).

The only question is after spending [hopefully] £20mil do we have any money left? I imagine, considering our friendly relationship with Man U however (which I am happy about if we get good players) maybe a loan deal like Howard's is an option.

I largely agree with you but where did this come from? Is Fletcher available? I’ve not heard anything. Or have I missed something while I have been busy trying to find Manny?

Good article, missing a key point............He’s shite!! Seriously, the lad is never going to figure for United because they dont rate him! We are aiming to hopefully compete with United not take thier or any other top clubs cast offs!! (Stephen Hughes anyone?)
And before you get on your high horse about Phil Neville or Tim Howard then look respectively at both players, Phil was for the latter half of his United career a first choice fullback on either side also played central midfield predominantly the sesason before he came to us & Howard was bought as 1st choice & signed a 3 year extension when they signed Van der Sar and he didn’t agree so came to us. Bottom line Fletcher is shit

I know what people think about fletcher, i am the same sometimes. but you have to think how his confidence is low by not playnig much. by coming to us he may be able to show the ability he has and what united saw in the first place. they don’t give everyone a contract.

Thank you John, thank you Ben. Man Utd are just looking to shape their squad by passing on a light weight.

If Moyes wanted talentless hard workers he would of kept Davies and Beattie.

Fletcher is shit... no more no less... WE NEED WORLD-CLASS WINGERS... not Carrick/Hargreaves wannabes.

Darren Fletcher is another James McFadden, nothing special, if he was then Man U would not be getting shut, expect to see him fade into obscurity

Fletcher was class in Europe for Man U last season, I don’t think we’re in any sort of position to be calling the likes of him shite when we have Carsley and Neville in our midfield set up.

Fletcher is sublime he drifts through the midfield for Manure like a knife through hot butter. His pass is excellent and second to none and the goals he has scored are the best I’ve ever seen.

Above is an excerpt from my latest FICTION book - Darren Fletcher - My life on the bench.

I’d rather have Alan’s Nan in midfield than Darren Fletcher to be honest.

I believe she is still out of contract.......

Allan’s Nan has been the saviour of the summer, she has dissolved many arguments on stadium moves and transfers and formations and hoofballs and turned many serious debates into insane postings.

Long may it continue.

Some of Fletcher performances for scotland have been nothing short of excellent and if im not mistaken he’s the new captain.

I would welcome him but wouldnt pay over 3 - 4 million, he would hardly get goodison alight but would be definatly a good player for us.

I remember reading an interview a few years ago from ferguson saying Fletcher and Ronaldo were the future of United so he must have some potential.

some of his moments of brilliance include 60 yards passes ala beckham, exellenting tracking of players. I admit he aint good enough for Man U starting 11, however apart I dont think any Eveton player would, Arteta, AJ and Baines may push but not starters. The fact that he played in CL most of time verifies that he is not shite. In fact, speak to most Man U fans and until he got injured when 20 or so he was the best young player on their books and was believed to be Beckhams natural successor. He has developed differntly since however is a very effective player. Again, choice between Carsley, Neville or Fletcher? Its a no-brainer.

Oliver
are you his agent? or his mum? Everyone else can see what a bag of shite the lad is so why can’t you?
The only reason Fletcher is considered worth buying by dumb twats is that he played a few times for that shower of shit, which automatically qualifys him to play for his country and also gives him a starting price of 5m quid. Sir Gobshite is not stupid. He plays the shit from the academy in unimportant games then raves about them in interviews after the match. All of a sudden they are ’ala beckham’ (you tit) -meaning big money for aveage or shit players. Dont buy into it. Name any young players under 24 sold by the scum twat that ever went on to do anything besides collect big wages for cleaning wood with their arses?

Where would a player like Darren Fletcher fit in at Everton?. We dont need him and thats not only because he is not anywhere near good enough, we dont need him because we have enough midfileders right now, especially IF Fernandes signs.
