Kenwright out.

Here is a man who swore that he wouldn't sell Rooney for £50M, then sold him for £25M.
Here is a man who wrecked the Kings Dock stadium.
Here is a man who seemingly lied with every breath he could muster about the Fortress Fund.
Here is the man that took Everton FC out of Liverpool and away from its core fan base.
What will be this man's Everton Legacy? He is still in control, perhaps he hasn't finished yet.
In case you haven't seen it before:
Bill Out

Would people prefer that we spend money like there is no tomorrow and end up like Leeds United?
Peter Johnson started the whole Kings Dock scheme and just like his transfer plans, that was too ambitious and couldn’t get the financial backing to get it off the ground. BK has learned the lessons and come up with a way of getting us a ground-if we vote for it then I believe it will actually happen.
As for Rooney, who cares about the transfer details-the little manc left and we finished 4th and aint looked back since.
Finally we have not been bought out because we are not in an attractive position to investors which one of the main reasons why Bill is trying to get us a ground that will increase income and reduce debts. Then more investment will come.
12 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:36:50
It may seem as though we are struggling financially but when Johnson first came it seemed as if we were loaded only for us to discover that Johnson had borrowed money rather than given from his pocket. I am assuming that when things go downhill at their respective clubs that the benefactors of Portsmouth, City, West Ham, etc etc will do the same thing Johnson did and leave those teams in big trouble. Bolton for example will probably go the way of Leeds once Sammy Lee completes their descent to the Championship. If we were relegated we have more saleable assests and less debts so we would be better placed to surivive. Therefore there is some merit to having a skin flint liar as the club owner.

If you posted a gushing YES to all of the above thread, then chances are it won’t make it onto the board.
15 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:52:06
16 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:41:22
Please name all the trophies we have won under him ?
If finishing 4th suits you then in terms of history you’re supporting the wrong club.
In my eyes we have achieved nothing until I see the Premiership trophy in our cabinet. That is the standard we should expect the Chairman of Everton to aspire to.
You do not need all the money in world to do this, you need the right manager and a Chairman with the correct credentials and ambition. We have none of these and under his reign, nothing is what we will achieve. So what are we waiting for ? Kenwright out.
One more thing, after everything that has been listed above, who can honestly say that they trust Kenwright with the club ?
17 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:52:40
How has he lied so much? Other than above what has he done?
I agree he is not perfect but that remark was crazy talk.
18 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:50:19
Can you imagine the headlines? "Chairman of Everton forced out. Only managed two European places in past three years after a decade fighting relegation. Bought Johnson, Howard, Lescott, Jagielka, Baines, Fernandes and Yakubu in past twelve months. Just signed Cahill and Arteta to five year contracts. Manager widely regarded as one of the best in the game. Team currently fourth in the Premiership".
Kenwright out? You’re havin’ a laugh!
19 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:00:43
We’re back in Europe and attracting good quality players for the first time in the modern era. Fact.
20 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:59:50
You have only labelled my point.
It might be good enough for you but it isn’t good enough for me.
Again to everyone, please list all the trophies we have won under him.
Then tell me if you honestly trust him.

23 Posted 23/08/2007 at 22:57:29
Then add up all the transfer fees along the way that have been spent searching for the title without success. It aint easy to win anything and to do so you need the right people, time and some luck thrown in. Are we better off now than pre-Kenwright? I think yes.
You disagree, fair enough but I do not think getting rid of him will get us what we all want and that is success for Everton.
By the way- I am supporting the right club-always have always will.

26 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:04:03
We have never ever been in danger of doing a Leeds, until now that is.
Moyes has had an average of £3m a year net to spend until the alleged fall out and/or indications that some fans were threatening to turn the vote into a referendum on BK. Suddenly, we are trying to spend £20m on players that just hadn’t been there.
Let’s hope they lenders don’t ask for it back, because then we would be facing doing a Leeds. We haven’t got the money to pay it back.
This club needs investment not ever more debt if it is to progress. A cheap, tacky ground in Kirkby will not change those fortunes.
27 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:08:32
Completely agree
28 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:05:41
How long do you want to give him ?
Another thing, you trust Kenwright to the hilt after all he has done but you don’t trust the Toffeeweb website when they have done nothing at all. Please explain why ?
29 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:04:54
Maybe Tommy Coleman is just showing how upset he is that his club are being taken away from him to a retail park. You’re self-righteous attitude really pisses me off. Everyone is perfectly entitled to have a go at Kenwright. I just don’t understand the need to come on here and criticise the people who run this web site.
30 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:16:27
I think Moyes and the current board are doing well. Just my opinion, you’re welcome to yours, doesn’t mean I have to agree with you.
31 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:13:54
Please point out where I said the people who run toffe web are anti the world.
I come on here because, in my opinion, I do not agree with what Tommy is saying-I thought that was the point of a forum -to have different opinions.
If everybody is entitled to have a go at Kenwright then I think I am entitled to try and defend the guy.
32 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:20:48
What is "The Premiership" ? The beginning of football ? Time ?
You only need to look as far as Arsenal to see my point, if they could do it so can we, but never under Kenwright.
33 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:30:11
34 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:28:41
Read the post again-I did not tell you how many times they have won it, I asked you how many times they have won it. The answer being none. The point, (which flew over your head), being that if the most successful team in English football have not won the premiership then it can’t be that easy. Also re-inforced by the fact that only Arsenal, Man utd, Chelsea and Blackburn have. Further re-inforced by the fact United have won it 9 times and all with the same manager.
I am simply trying to state that whilst I agree with you that we want to be winning titles, but we have to be realistic and it will take time. We are improving and I think that Bill and David are doing well.
35 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:29:33
Does any of this ring any bells?
Being consistently just outside this group represents a major achievement, particularly given the depths to which we descended. And at last now we have a squad of players that might enable us to break into it. So let’s get rid of the people who’ve got us there - sure to help!
36 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:32:40
Now how did they achieve all that ? What do they have that we don’t ? I think it begins with Manager and Chairman.
P.S Don’t reply with ’money’, remember whose job it is to generate money ?
37 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:13:42
38 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:24:44
Carry on.
39 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:40:50
They achieved by having the same chairman and manager for 10 years - its called stability, something you’re clearly forgetting.
You’re never going to understand because you’re blinded by the old days and your emotions - at least thats how you come across.
40 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:46:28
41 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:41:00
Arsenal do have a better Chairman and a better manager than we do -would they leave and come to Everton??? I would say no.
Do we have the best chairman and manager that we could probably attract at this point in time????
I think that we do. It is just plain stupidity to say that Kenwright should be forced to leave.
Like Neil wrote in his post-imagine the headlines
"Chairman of Everton forced out. Only managed two European places in past three years after a decade fighting relegation. Bought Johnson, Howard, Lescott, Jagielka, Baines, Fernandes and Yakubu in past twelve months. Just signed Cahill and Arteta to five year contracts. NOBODY IS SAYING THE HOSTS CAN NOT EXPRESS THEIR VIEWS, people are just disagreeing with them.
45 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:52:00
Bill certainly has his weaknesses, but we’ve hardly done that badly.
Any case, what I most care about at Everton is what happens ON THE PITCH. We are definitely getting better there, no one can deny it. So why get so worked up about Bill?
46 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:58:16
Having said that, I fucking hate Coronation Street and the theatre does nothing for me!
47 Posted 24/08/2007 at 00:01:13
Seems easy enough to do.
48 Posted 23/08/2007 at 23:58:25
Tommy-its been a cracking couple of hours worth of banter-thank for the platform to do it, COME ON THE BLUES!
It is now time to reach for another Stella Artois and watch the amazinlgy sexy Abi Titmuss in her video shoot for Zoo weekly!

Just a couple of examples I was referring to from this thread alone!!!

56 Posted 24/08/2007 at 00:07:26
Now we got: Cahill, Arteta, Andy Johnson, Lescott, Howard, Yobo, Baines, Neville and most likely Fernandes and Yakubu. And if the vote is "Yes" in the Ballot we will also get a new stadium and all after Kenwright came!!!
So what are you whineing about??
He is taking us again to the top and all you can do is whine!!!!
The Kirkby deal was just to good to say no to!! Because we don´t have enough money to build a stadium our selves. And he also did this ballot so the people could choose, something that almose no chairman would have done. So it´s in the peoples hands if we go to Kirkby or not!!
Why do you alwayse have to bring up the bad things when there is much more good than bad??
57 Posted 24/08/2007 at 00:30:40
58 Posted 24/08/2007 at 00:32:35
If we wouldn´t have sold Rooney we wouldn´t have got all this money to build up this team. And also he wanted to go to Manchester so what could Bill do in that?? Should he just have said no and kept him at everton unhappy and then try to sell him 2-3 years later for maybe much smaller amount?? Is it than Bills fault that Rooney wanted to go got Man Utd?
I just can´t understand how you can say something so bad after all this man have done for this club!!!!!!! You are just selfish!

step of the way has been open and honest. Open your mind and you might just agree!
62 Posted 24/08/2007 at 01:46:33
its taken a while but he does seem to have secured some sort of investment to help push us forward.
He made a great choice in moyes, and the club has become an exciting team to watch once again.
63 Posted 24/08/2007 at 02:44:10
64 Posted 24/08/2007 at 00:40:12
Well of course it cannot be the third option can it, because we all know we haven?t progressed at all since David Moyes took over. Back in Walter and Archie?s days, the side was brimming with players of the quality of Cahill and Arteta. Back then we had the promise of young players like Gough and Ginola to look forward to. And the constant nagging doubt that we would have to open up a legal dictionary to understand exactly what ?trustees? and administrators are. Oh yes and just a tad more important, how we miss the days when you could open your paper in August to see that your beloved Club are favourites for relegation.
I do not know if Blue Bill visits this website or examines the accumulated support for the petition. I do not know if he is offended by the repeated and serious slurs on his personal character as well as his ability to be Chairman.
But if he does visit then let me say this to him and if he doesn?t let me say it to you. Dotted all around the Premier league there are Chairman who can bank roll short term injections. But if you ask the Thai owner of Man City to complete the verse to ?Pardoe, Pardoe, he?s off to Mexico? or that West Ham bloke to reminisce about a team of Moore, Hurst and Peters, chances are they could not do it.
But ask Bill Kenwright about the Blues of his lifetime, and , yes, he knows his history and it is apparent to me that every time he opens his mouth to speak about Everton, his heart goes ?woo?. I feel confident that he doesn?t care what the Red shite say.
Such blind devotion would be admirable but pointless if the fortunes of the Club were spiralling downwards. But they are not. Quietly and without fuss, we have come back. We are holding on to our better players, leaving memories of Hutchinson, Barmby and ( ha ha) Jeffers behind us. Young players are breaking into the team and now large sums of money are available to add class players to the squad.
Anybody who does not recognise how better things are in this century than they were at the end of the last has the memory of a goldfish, or they weren?t there. But not to worry, Blue Bill?s enemies got number crunchers, spreadsheets, and malevolent suspicion to thrive on.
But in this article you will find no spreadsheets or financial analysis about securitzation. You will find no statistical analysis about goals for/goals against columns. But if as I suspect there are loads of us out there who cringe with embarrassment at the crass and childish accusations against Bill Kenwright which appear on this website, let us attempt to put the record straight. He loves the club and would not harm it. When Roman has sold up Chelski to pay for his alimony, and Tom and Jerry looked elsewhere for another ?franchise? to develop, Blue Bill will still be here because he knows no other way.
And so, I hope will all of us ? wherever that may be. KENWRIGHT IN my friends. If you agree honk your horn as you go past.
65 Posted 24/08/2007 at 07:47:28
66 Posted 24/08/2007 at 09:40:21
Fantastic post, spot on.
Bill has his failings for sure, most of those have occurred in the past because I think his heart ruled his head when it came to Everton. Who of us Evertonians can condemn him for that? Besides, I think the glaring mistakes people highlight here were more a product of his naivety in being a club Chairman than a deliberate attempt to deceive fellow Evertonians (the guy’s one of us for Christ’s sake, not an ex-KGB oil gangster or a Thai despot). I think he’s learned a lot quickly over the past few years.
And to those guys who talk about the ’Kenwright Out’ chants, well I must have been taking a wrong turning and going to a different ground to watch my team play because I’ve never heard one.
KENWRIGHT IN!
67 Posted 24/08/2007 at 11:24:37
68 Posted 24/08/2007 at 15:41:31
Secondly, Man U feeder club??????????????????? please explain this I really dont get it. Phil Neville, Tim Howard and erm...oh thats it. We sold Rooney and..erm..oh yeh no-one else. We signed (hopefully) 6 players this summer, sold/released 4, none of these deals involves Man U. If thats a feeder club arrangement it must be the worst one ever.
Have we won anything under him? Of course bloody not, all that is needed is good management then you win stuff, not really mate, we have a good manager, a very good one. Ask the average objective football fan and Moyes will be in top 5 managers in country on average. No-one outside top-4 has won the FA cup since everton, 2 teams outside top 4 have won league cup in last 7 years and only 3 teams have shared the premiersip between them for 12 years. And you thjink money has nothing to with it, if thats the case then every chairman outside top 4 should be sacked and replaced with...
my next point, ’kenwright out...’ that slogan generally needs an ending. Or do you suggest we sack the chairman and not replace him, or do you want kenwright over-thrown then someone view it a a get-rich quick scheem and buy club for cheap. So who replace the so called ’worst thing that ever happened to the club’ then?
Realise, Everton where seriously messed up. We still are, but are far far better off than 8-9 years ago. If it wasn’t for BK we would have gone into administration, and would have been forever fucked. Probably be in championship or league 1.
Is being a decent european team good enough? bloody hell, of course it isn’t. But we are improving, how will overthrowing the chairman improve the team on the pitch. We have spent 30mil this summer, more than villa and their american ’saviour’, or newcastle and their ’saviour’. People want change because you get bored, when someone new comes in you believe all their promises, realise that stability is the key to success.
P.S. I dont like BK, I think he is a pretentious, arrogant twat, but find me a chairman that is nice, one of the fans. This day in age, the same way footballers are selfish, arrogant, ego-centric greedy twats, you have to accept it. Don’t believe the club is ran on your behalf, or someone else will come in and run it as a club ’for the fans’, or you will never be able to enjoy football, it will never happen, a revolution is required by all clubs for football to develop in this way, and with so much money about, i cant see anyone making the fiirst stance.
