It may come as some consolation to the NO voters to learn that not all Tesco`s grandiose plans to `re-juvenate` townships come to fruition. In recent years they have spents a fortune trying to railroad through plans for the St John`s district of Worcester ? even to the extent of offering to provide a brand new senior school for the area. It`s all come to nothing, bogged down in a whelter of public enquiries, appeals to ministers and local bureaucracy.
I`m not sure that there is a bridge in Kirkby but if there is, I can assure you there is an awful lot of water to flow under it before Goodison can be abandoned.
