Kirby v Walton

I have read with interest the typical scouse over-reaction to progress. We have a chance to get a new ground at sensible money. We have a chance to put the club on a sound financial footing. We have a chance to propel Everton to the next level. What is the problem?
The ground will be 5.3 miles from Goodison (one of the more anal amongst us posted that piece of information). Our current ground is historic, fantastic as a piece of what football used to be but no longer relevant (I was at a game when attendance totalled more than 73,000 but you couldn't buy a pie let alone a beer).
I shall mourn Goodison as I mourn the passing of pounds, shillings and pence but we need to recognise the modern world ? please guys let's get together and make our team great again. David Moyes is doing a top job ? think what more money could bring. The majority has spoken ? now kill the argument and get together as our boys have on the pitch ? stop being divisive. Plenty of debate of course, but please no anger!!

Mourn away but it would help if you spelt KIRKBY right if you want to move on....

Damn right Bob! Its done and dusted now, The ’people’ of the ’Peoples club’ have spoken and we are off to Kirkby. There will always be questions to answer and doubts about the future, but show me another area in life where this doesnt exist? In this week of tragedy for one of our own, its about time people got a sense of perspective and thought about the really important things in life. We are moving to Kirkby, lets go there as one happy family.

Right, vote in, result announced... now can we please, please get on with supporting Everton?
And by the way Toffeeweb, your headline ’Club secures ’yes’ vote" is yet another poorly disguised jibe against a vote that has been conducted fairly, by a third party. Grow up.
And for the post above, couldn’t agree more about the spelling of Kirkby, but to offer some defence, the BBC had it spelt wrong all through it’s lead story today.

What a load of shit from the yes camp. This is one flawed vote with a yes always the result.Think about the future fan base ye yes pricks. Of course we have to move but not to there when there are alternatives in the city and before I get back we have no money well why cant we secure a similar arangement as Kirby in the city.

Tom, any chance you could stop the name calling - it dilutes your argument, and makes you sound like a ignorant tool.

Because, Tom, we can’t. How many ways do you need it spelling out? We can’t, nous ne pouvons pas, non possiamo, etc etc, yawn, yawn. There, do you understand it now?

All you people pissed off over the blues moving to kirkby are a bunch of sooks. I love the blues yes i know i live in australia and only watch the games on tv and u think i don't have a glue about the issue but i do. Now im a big rugby league fan as well and fellow the north queensland cowboys in the nrl here in australia i love the team to death as i do everton. You guys are sooking over the blues moving down the road what is it about 2 miles or so, well i travel 375km to see the cowboys play and there are alot more people like me that travel from all over the place to see them play. So when i see you people that sook over a couple mile's away you are a big buch of girls. This is going to be the best thing that happens to the club it's going to take it places in raising revenue to bring the best players to the club, put some of those great trophies in the cabinate and make everton one of the glamour clubs in europe. Isn't that what everyone wants or do you want to fall behind the other clubs and battle it out in the relagation zone and end up playing in the lower divisions.

Can we drop this People’s club nonsense it belittles the now fact that the minority voted away from the People’s Club original location the City of Liverrpool for a newtown thus losing it’s traditions and any right it has to use the awful term "People’s Club" (Minority being the simple calculus of total ballot papers sent v Yes returns not withstanding the thousands of supporters who regularly attend the game who were not eligible to vote be they Yes or No votes, the badge is no longer deserved.

If ever there was a case of sour grapes and toys been thrown from the pram. Some of you lot make me sick to teh back teeth. Everton, with or without you, will always continue to exist. We all want to team to regain its status of past, but to come out with comments about the badge is absolutely ridiculous. Thankfully we live in a democracy...jeez

Seems a bit strange to complain that we are no longer the ’people’s club’ on the day when we became the first club in Europe to allow its fans to vote on moving its ground.
The people have in fact spoken, and over 15,000 support the Board in moving to Kirkby. And they are not sheep, bastards, idiots, or traitors. They are your fellow Blues, the ones who sit next to you every week.
Personally, if you don’t want to sit with us any longer, there is no ’good riddance’ from me, I will be sorry to see you go.

Chris Lawlor "sour grapes", are you not already choking on your champagne popping like gloating celebration? If like many others you can’t debate you simply mock what you can’t or won’t understand.

Pot, kettle, black , gavin my friend. I would like to point out that I take no such enjoyment in today’s outcome, merely that the Club is now moving forward and staying in contention with its peers. As for not being able to debate?? Isnt that what we have all being doing for the last 6 months? The time for debating is over, the results are in and we are moving on. That is the situation fella and no amount of moaning and sniping will change it. This by the way is no matter of life and death, its simply a relocation of a football club, one that I assume we all love. I have a real family to take care of, and my own life to lead, sometimes I wonder if the people on here who are so vociferous in their comments, have anything better to do in their lives. And before you relpy mate, I’m not refering to you directly. Enjoy the game tomorrow.
