The Mail Bag

New Ground!

I'm not pro-Kirkby but I'm certainly not anti-Kirkby, I'll go anywhere to watch the club I love and have supported all my life. I wish people would get off Bill Kenwright's back, what more do you want from him? Most clubs would have just said "we're going" and left it at that I would have prefered a city centre location, we had a chance with the Kings Dock and we blew that.

The fact is, as much as I love the place Goodison Park, is an absolute dump and not fit for the modern day. We need a new ground desperately and the majority of fans with a vote 'democratically' agreed. There is a long way to go before planning permission etc is granted and I work in Kirkby so I know the residents are not going to take this decision lightly.

If it can take the club onto the next level we should get behind the club, despite people whining about Moyes and his tactics etc the club is in a lot better shape than 10 years ago when Howard Kendall was manager and Peter Johnson first sold us the 'Kings Dock dream/farce'.

Think you'll find the "Kings Dock dream/farce" was Kenwright's doing.
