The Mail Bag

New players

Is it just me? But here we are with a new striker in Yak, and a midfielder most of us have been shouting for since his loan ended. Jag and Baines are again great improvements. Yet all the guys that normally post have stayed strangely quiet why? I too am gutted about the ground vote but life goes on I don't trust or like Kenwright but on the playing front he has delivered.

Now we will see if Davey is tactically lacking or if its been through lack of quality that his subs have usually been poor. Come on boys, do not let this vote ruin our season. This is Everton ;how many fuck-ups have we had in the past? Would you honestly expect Bill not to cock this one up? Let's get behind the lads. It's the non-voters that let us down ? not the players.

I think we need a complete moratorium on all Kirkby discussion, based on the reams of utter shite people felt compelled to write yesterday. Let's get back to the football, FFS!

Well said Roy, in total agreement with your post. I think today is an important game so we keep the confidence up and get on a roll, with Bolton up next then hopefully revenge over Man U at home! If we can get three points today I’ll be delighted not least to give Rhys Jones a send off he deserves and hopefully give him family at least tiny speck of comfort in this terrible time of despair. Gotta keep the Everton family together.
In an ideal world the new signings would have been bedded in already bit the next three games are key to seeing if they can hit the ground running I feel. Moyes needs to shake up the side after last week, hopeing giving Baines, Pienaar and Jagielka the chance to impress.

Why is nothing ever simple with this club.

We have had Manny in the bag for two weeks. The Yak in the bag all week.
Yet both still not signed and available to play.

The past week could have been behind us if the two players were paraded on the pitch today.

Blackburn offer us a great chance to see were we stand later in the season. A big physical side with a good manager, if we overcome them this early in the season we will have a lot to look forward too. I am looking at 2-1 for the blues.

I was chatting to a guy who sits behind me in the Park End today and he spent the whole morning checking the web for anything on Fernandes and coulnd’t find a single thing. I’m getting worried, really worried, I know the ownership thing will hold stuff up but even the Tevez move to Man Utd had fairly constant updates on the situation.
