Percentage football

Yet again, or so it seems, Davie has no idea what his best starting 11 is, but in mitigation there are some players caring injuries so a gamble(s?) was(were) taken.

The 1st game (wigan) turned out to be a win and as we all know by now it's the result that counts. So the incumbents retained their spots. Then the Spurs game, which, with the value of the ever 20/20 hind sight, flattered to deceive.

After the lord mayors show came Reading, followed in quick time by the shit cart of today's performance. So here we are 10% of the season gone and 7 out of 12pts to show for it. Does that mean that statistically speaking we might end up with 70 pts??... chance will be a fine thing. 10% of our squad is already injured, 10% seem to be caring injuries, 4% of our squad is out on loan!! Whats the story there then, where's he gone, to get his 1st team football, why not get it here?? there seems to be an opening or 2. 100% of our South African players don't seem to be able to get a game and are now covering the space on the bench of the 4% that is out on loan to fuck knows who. Confused?? s.o.p.

The pendulum on the Davie Moyes 'Swingometer' is set right in the middle.

The Yak may yet turn out to be a James Beattie Mk2 at twice the price already. But lets slag that bridge when we come to it. As for Manny, seeing, (as yet unseen) will be believing.

That was the week that was in the roller coaster ride that is the lot of the Evertonian. And you know what?? I wouldn't change a thing...well maybe the crap stuff.
