So the Fernandes deal has gone tits up? As good a player as he is, I am not as devestated as the rest of you because I knew all along this deal would not happen. In fact, I have been warning 60% of you for weeks about it now. The Yes voters have fallen for the Bill Kenwright loaded dice routine and your kecks are well and truely around your ankles right now.

Micheal, is it any wonder I was Apocolyptic with rage last week when the result of the Kirkby vote was announced? Some of us knew what was going on while others chose to ignore it. This Fernandes fiasco is another horror story to add to Bill Kenwright's list of shame: Kings Dock, Fortress Sports Fund, Ticket Fiascos, Stranded Fans at Airports, Phantom bids for Players... the list is endless.

Bill Kenwright is the Paul Daniels of football chairmen. He is a small guy with a massive ego who makes things dissapear. It's not scantilly clad ladies and white doves that our Bill has in his act though. Kenwright makes football stadiums, Players and supporters dreams vanish in to thin air.

I reckon I am due a ton of apoligies from the rogue 60% of our fans. I tried warning you all these past few weeks about BK and his scheming. I knew he was out to steal your votes but all I got was ? "Marsh and his negative anti-Everton, anti-Kenwright bile isn't wanted here." How foolish you must feel right now for trusting this man. Tell me this: who isn't anti Bill Kenwright at this moment in time? If Tescos sold humble pie, you lot would be having lumps of it for breakfast right now.

Of course the EFC spin machine will come out with the usual nonesense, blaming the player and his agent for this mess. Trouble with that is we have seen this scenario all too often and the excuses have worn thinner than Steve McClaren's hairline.

We were told Manny would be in the squad for the Reading game with more signatures to follow ? that was 12 days ago. Well, where are they? Even the Yakubu deal is going pear-shaped and I wouldn't hold my breath on that one coming off either. Kenwright would say or do anything to get his own way and if that means putting a dagger in your back then so be it. He just had to win this Kirkby vote at all costs. Too much for him and Wyness to lose, you see.... Oh and by the way ? it worked!

So what now, I ask? Do you still trust Kenwright and Wyness after this? Surely now you must see them for what they are? Its a horrible feeling knowing you have ben dupped, conned, led up the garden path isn't it? Well at least he never fooled me and the other No voters. We said all along that BK can't be trusted. Trusting Kenwright with a deal as big as the Kirkby move is a recipe for disaster. Personally, I wouldn't trust the guy to walk my dog... He would probably come back with a goldfish on a lead.

Fernandes for me is the last straw. Unless we snatch him back in the next hour, sign Riqueleme instead, or have our entire Board replaced before Saturday, I don't think I can take watching us. All the lies and more importantly, all the ridiculous dissapointment. Our last two performances have simply cried out; "WE NEED BETTER CENTER MIDS!!!"

Turns out the Board are useless and let our potentially most vital asset (ok, maybe next to Arteta) get away. Problems with Yak, and frankly, he's no Drogba, so either way I think we lose there. But so many lies. I can't take it anymore. I'm going to try and miss as many games as I can this season. I doubt I will be able to, I seem to have a penchant for misery, I can't not look, but I'm so fucking disapointed and now I realise that this is a running theme with Everton, that I give up.

I'll more then likely be back next week... God help me, but I really hope I can let football go for a while. Football is supposed to be entertainment and leave you feeling exhilarated and happy, but with Everton, it's all deception, dissapointment and politics. The Board have taken the actual football side of the game away and instead EFC is about money and stadiums and fake transfers. We need honesty and decency back at the helm or we might as well just sell up and move to Leeds...

Rumour has it that David Moyes will resign as manager of Everton tonight. He is thought to be angry at the fact that Bill Kenwright has used the Fernandes and Yakubu deals to get a Yes vote and there was really no intention to sign them.

Oh no, not the old "Moyes to resign" rubbish. That’s nonsense and must be stopped NOW. Frankly i’m getting embarrassed by large sections of our online contibutor fan base. Most of you should be ashamed with yourselves. Or maybe you should change allegiances and support the Red side because frankly you don’t have a clue and you’d be more than welcome there.

John Murphy stop circulating lies. The Moyes resigns story was a lie the first time it was circulated and a disgraceful one at that as it’s genesis was actually from withdrawal from the public eye to mourn the passing of his mother. There is absolutely NO evidence that Kenwright has lied over the Yakubu and Fernandes deals. One of them is expected to happen on Wednesday barring a bizarre DWP decision, the other seems (although still unclear) to have collapsed not through lies but through a piece of supreme deceit on the part of Fernandes’ third-party owners.

As for Tony. Please in God’s name drop the ner-ner-ne-ner-ner I was right and you were wrong act. How old are you? We accept you dislike the board and don’t trust them. Full stop. We don’t need to know how right you think you were (even though you weren’t, as I say, the deals weren’t lies you just want to believe they were). You engage in the same hypocricy as you accuse the board. You say they lie at every turn to manipulate opinion yet you concoct conspiracies at every turn to manipulate opinion. There is little difference and by your own advice you should be ignored.

Did Davie know about imminent problems with the two transfers? I was surprised when he commented on deals not being done until they are done. I thought something was wrong when he made the comment ? I think he knew.

I think that Kenwright has yet again put us away. We seem to be the only team who can take such an age to complete transfers. How many have we lost due to this? I am not sure that the dithering Davie tag is warranted ? I think devious Bill might be nearer the mark.

The deal the fans wanted has gone up in smoke due to the usual dithering of the chairman. A deal should have been in place when we took him on loan....but we are a laughing stock other clubs watch how our loanees get on and nick them should they be successful. The penny pinching chairman is to blame for this trying to save on wages and trying to get him on the cheap. Well done you prat

Where did you get that rumour fron John? I´d be surprised if that was the case but really the dealings of Everton FC leave me gobsmacked. We should have sorted our transfers out WEEKS ago. Where the fuck did Kenwright suddenly get 20 million quid from or did he suddenly stumble across a misplaced piggy bank. This summer takes the biscuit. Remember the Vogel embarrasment a month or so back? Announce his imminent signing then suddenly all quiet on the western front. OOPs! he´s gone away...lets pretend it didn´t happen and insult our fans by not even giving an explanation on the official site. Then this. If I were you Cahill Arteta and Lescott (Baines and Jagielka must be sick as parrots) I´d be out of here like a shot come January. It´s one big sick joke. Oh, and Tony Marsh you are spot on

tony your absolutely spot on. why is that everton continue to fuck things up with kenwright at the helm. this is an absolute shambles and frankly we are still being fed a pack of lies from that ’diehard’ evertoninan. enough is enough now, he got away with it two years ago when we finished 4th but we need to urge him out. i have been fuming all night since i first heard manny might be going to valencia, this has got to stop.

i voted yes to the move based on what i thought was a logical argument insofar that we are skint and i dont see another viable option. at the minute i am feeling i have just voted to keep the disgraceful kenwright wheel still turning. i feel sick.

Steve Mc
13   Posted 27/08/2007 at 13:40:33

Spot on TM, anyone who thinks that the blame for this latest display of incompetence is not to be firmly laid at the feet of BK is living in another world.
When the Manny deal was FIRST announced we were told that EFC were in talks with the PL to ensure no repeat of the Tevez, Masc deals and yet 3 weeks later the PL tell us they are not happy with the paperwork supplied by EFC, FFS if they were consulting the PL from the start then the paperwork should have been spot on. In any other business someone’s head would roll for this.

I hope the yes voters feel comfortable with the decision to give this bunch of incompetents carte blanche to do what the fuck they want with OUR club.

Ironically, the very people who were used to ’sway’ the vote are likely to have left the club before an arse even touches the shiny new seats because they are frustrated with how things are ’managed’ at the club. DM for one must be pulling his ginger threads out.

Firstly Tony, welcome back; last I read, you’d been binned. Although I wasn’t convinced Fernandes was the next Colin Harvey, I’d come round to being excited at his potential. But...what is it about our club and August Bank Holiday: once again, depressed, shocked, stunned etc. As for not trusting Kenwright to walk your dog - you’re being too lenient. He’d probably send Wyness back with an empty lead and a bag of magic beans, telling you he’d got you the deal of the century. God...as Tammy Wynette said ’sometimes it’s hard to be a bluenose’
John Holmes
15   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:08:36

Actually I didn’t have a vote to be a ’yes voter’. The board may have some responsibility for failing to secure Fernandes but all the evidence suggests far greater responsibility lies with the men controlling his future who simply wanted a bigger wadge of cash and screwed over Everton to get it.

Where is your evidence for the Fernandes deal being a con? The fact that it has fallen through is not evidence. The deal was financed by the same cash injection that is financing the Yakubu transfer. Why sign both if he just wanted to show there was money? Wasn’t that gilding the lily rather?

I also think that anyone who voted for Kirkby just because we were signing a couple of players was somewhat foolish but I doubt many did. I think that’s just part of your worldview.
John Holmes
16   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:16:09

Incidentally, I don’t necessarily trust the board as the best custodians of the club. However, a decision needed to be made on the Kirkby project and on the club’s future stadium and it may be that those who voted yes also didn’t trust the board as the best custodians but felt the imperative to act outweighed those misgivings.

20   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:15:18

Great letter Tony, love that line about Kenwright being the Paul Daniels of Chairmen. I think the main issue about the Fernandes transfer is this - the Club must have known that the Premier League wouldn’t sanction 50% ownership of Fernandes so why didn’t we agree the other 50% ownership at the same time as we agreed fee with Benfica. Then no problems registering the player with the Premier League because we would have owned him 100%. The deal would then have been done a long time ago and Valencia’s interest would have been too late. It just strikes me as incompetence rather than conspiracy!
John Holmes
21   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:24:11

I believe the technical term is spurious correlation Tony. The two events occurred close to each other because of factors which do not interrelate. That is not evidence. Where is the evidence that the Fernandes transfer is a con beyond simple supposition based on prejudice against the board?

I can't believe the horse-shit I'm reading on here as a result of the Fernandes reports. Not one fan, surely, voted yes on the back of the bids for Fernandes and Yakubu. No one, who would be stupid enough to do that, could possible have the mental capacity to put a tick in a box.

I'm not defending any person in the EFC hierarchy, but some of you seriously need to see a doctor. Get a grip for fuck's sake. We missed out on an over-priced, disloyal player, whose ownership situation was asking for trouble. I wonder if his 3rd party owners, who don't need to give up any of their share in the player may have influenced his decision?? Hmmmmm.....

Before I get attacked on all sides, I have no doubt that we need better players in all but a few positions. But anyone reading the mailbag would think that we just sold Arteta to the shite for 2 cans of lager.

28   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:23:07

Let’s face it he’s gone. Whether or not it’s him, the agent, third party owners or the EPL , it’s over!

As for the Board, I never quite work out where this £23 million for Yakubu and Fernandes was coming from so it does smell a bit.

However, having watched Bill’s bumbling and toe-curling ineptness at making simple decisions on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on Saturday, I have to put it down to incompetence. Rubbish TV, but a marvellous insight into how Bill cannot make a decision ( even the right one ) and stick to it. The thought processes they used were fascinating. The main crime with Fernades has been letting the whole thing drag on without safeguarding our position with regard to the player. Something like this can always happen.

We now need to act fast, but of course I doubt there’s a Plan B!
John Holmes
29   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:43:11

Whilst I agree with your sentiment Richard I disagree on the final point. I think we have pretty decent players (given we’re a work in progress) in most positions except for creative midfield (assuming the Yakubu deal goes through on Wednesday). We’re perhaps still a little low on numbers but in terms of personnel we’re as good as any of the teams around us and continually improving.

This is not a knee-jerk reaction, but I refuse to spend another penny on watching Everton until Bill Kenwright fucks off. This is nothing to do with Kirkby (I actually voted Yes) but the fact that once again that lying snake-like luvvy and his Board have made Everton a laughing stock. Someone told me last week that they thought that signing Fernandes and Yakubu were smokescreens that would fall apart, but I thought that was over the top... suprise, suprise though, he was right.

Fortress Trust Fund, Rooney, Kings Dock, Alan Smith, it's all just another pile of bollocks.... and once again Everton's official website has stayed silent. I guarantee 100% that the club will slip to the Echo how Fernandes was 'greedy' or 'disloyal' and put the blame on him.

It's down to us having FUCK ALL MONEY!!! Bullshit Billy, sitting on his shares until EFC have moved to Kirkby and he'll sell up to the highest bidder and make millions on the back of his beloved Everton. Just because he is a blue, doesn't mean to say he's still not a twat. Kenwright Out!

Welcome back Tony and thanks for putting in very calm terms exactly how I am feeling about this Fernandes deal vanishing behind another smoke and mirrors scenario. How dare you John Holmes claim "ner ner ner" when the majority of yes voters have gloated post the result. Tony has calmly and succinctly put his views down for all to read, I have yet to hear what the invisible Chairman Bill has to say, then again hasn’t he said nothing for month’s only to appear post vote with some banal nonsense on the official site? You may not agree with what Tony and many others have to say but try posting your own views as a letter you’ll find unless it breaches the rules you will be published pro or anti BK.

Tony, you have shot yourself in the foot here mate.

First of all you refer to the Fernandes signing as swaying the 60% of people who voted yes, you then stand by this viewpoint in your first reply but when it is pointed out to you that maybe not that many people actually voted yes because of the Yakubu and Fernandes deals you accept the point!

For the record, I voted yes because I thought it was in the long term best interest of the football club that I love and not because I thought we would be signing two new players and for you to suggest otherwise shows a complete lack of understanding of your fellow supporters.

35   Posted 27/08/2007 at 14:58:33

Ok then Tony...you wrote it..so prove it..give me something more than your suspicion..that Fernandes not signing for us was down to Everton football club.

Not down to Valencia letting his agent keep half ownership, not down to Benfica recieving twice the fee, not down to premier league rules, not down to him getting 60,00 a week, not down to him being able to play champions league..

Prove that I didnt see him at Goodison signing autographs on saturday

Prove that he has not been training with the squad at Belfield

in fact Tony just prove any one of those points..just one

And I will give you the apology that your ego craves..

Needless to say , I shall not hold my breath.

This is one cock up to many, Wyness comes to mind. The quicker this CEO goes the better. At the end of the day he is responsible for not tying the loos ends up.

The PL have a lot to blame for in this issue. They let West Ham off the hook and allow both Liverpool and Man U third party dicky deals. They then decide to flap about and meanwhile we lose a player to Valencia. Ultimately the chairman of this club has to take responsibility. There are just too many things going wrong in his tenure.

I agree with some of what you say Tony. Especially the last paragraph. Trust and lack of communication are the key issues here.

Yesterday was so disappointing, not just because of the loss of Fernandes, but also because deep down I thought it was going to happen. I got called a pessimist for thinking like this, but I think I was being more of a realist.

I know you guys would all love it to be otherwise, but the grand conspiracy theory doesn’t stack up. The guy was training with us, been allocated the no. 37 shirt, signing autographs on Saturday at the game, papers sent for review at the FA - and we never intended to sign him? It was all just a Kenwright charade to get a YES vote? Do you really believe that?

There is a much easier explanation. The deal dragged on to meet FA requirements, and his owner got a better offer elsewhere from Valencia, and told the player he owns that he was going to Spain.

Maybe BK / KW could have got it wrapped up earlier (although many transfers take time these days), and were guilty of incompetence. But give the grand conspiracies a break please.

Good to have you back Tony, even if I still mostly disagree with you. By the way, you can’t have an exclusivity deal with a player if 50% of his owners don’t want to enter into it. As they obviously didn’t since they were still hawking the player around to other clubs.

Interesting post on another thread on the site, for those who want a conspiracy. Moyes never wanted Fernandes (some evidence of that given what he said at the end of last season about "needing more from him"). Also might explain why we went for Fernandes so late, if Moyes wasn’t keen. Kenwright pushed on Fernandes because of his popularity with the fanbase. Fernandes was put off in the pst week by Moyes’ obvious lack of enthusiasm. Valencia come in at the last minute... and the rest is history.

No, I’m not convinced by that one either. Doesn’t sound like Moyes to give in on this if he didn’t want Manny back. But it makes a lot more sense than the ’BK never intended to sign him at all’ theory. And, if true, shows up BK in a pretty bad light.

Tony..the point is that you are apportioning blame for a series of events without any proof..
1) He agreed to join us..

2) He had and passed a medical

3) He then signed for Valencia

4) This came after Benfica had posted on their website that they had agreed afee with ourselves.

These are the facts,Facts, Facts...ok just once more..Facts

Now all you have done is filled in the bits in between and claim it to be the truth..

All I am asking you..again..is if this is so , where is your proof.

Im not defending anybody, because I dont have the facts..
equally I am not accusing anybody..for the same reason..THATS "REASON"

Terry, the fact that Man U did all the spade work to iron out the problems with third party ownership would make it easier for EFC to conclude a deal because all the pitfalls would have been clear. As I ststed earlier EFC said they were working with the PL to ensure the Tevez problems didn’t arise when this deal was first announced but 3 weeks later the PL say that the paperwork submitted by EFC was unacceptable so who would you like to blame for that?
Gavin Ramejkis
54   Posted 27/08/2007 at 16:09:12

Terry a few minor points regards the Man Utd Tevez signing was West Ham’s reluctance to release him caused part of the delay but his signing is a two year fixed term loan where his part ownership remains, I now understand Mascherano is signed in a similar deal. For whatever reason, but incompetance playing the greater possible role, the Chairman and CEO of Everton who perform the actual transaction to sign players have obviously cocked up, the persuit of the other 50% ownership has been the nail in the coffin of the deal, we will never know why as the club still hasn’t had the cojones to bother to tell the supporters their side of the story but may leak to the terribly glib Liverpool Echo some titbits they deem appropriate later this week. A clear cock up on the part of those performing the transaction the Chairman and CEO despite my unhidden dislike of them how can people continually create arguments in their defence when they won’t even defend themselves with an official statement?

fans at Goodison on Saturday watching dross.Tell me where are these other 22000 mug punters going to come from in 3 years time mate. There must be a secret society of True Evertonians just waiting for the Knowsley Tesco Bowl to open before they come out of the woodwork and fill the place.Or maybe they just dont exist and moving to Kirkby will be the begginig of the end.

I find it amazing that without knowing all the facts small minded people are quick to blame the club.

The money grabbing little shit Fernandes has shown no respect to our great club and yet so many people are absolving him of blame and attempting to run down Everton.

Don’t you have any loyalty? Fuck Fernandes thats what I say.

Here’s the thing Tony. You knew that the Fernandes deal wasn’t going to happen & told us countless times? Any chance you could link us back to your relevant posts?

And what’s the story with Yakubu ? You imply that this deal will also go west but then sit on the fence. No doubt if this deal does fall through you will be back on telling us that you saw this one coming all along as well.

Tony all I’m saying is we don’t know yet what went wrong. So who gets the benefit of the doubt?

Everton or the player who has now signed for another club?

My loyality is to Everton, the club gets the benefit of the doubt with me until I hear otherwise.

I’m not surprised you have automatically chosen to take Fernandes side in this and blame the club.

You go ahead and give your support to a player who verbally agreed to a deal, trained all week at Bellefield, was a guest at the weekend game and then signed for another team.

Personally I think thats a shitty thing to do.

Slanging matches and name calling aside..seeing as everybody seemsto be theorising...hell, why dont i have a go..

Fernandes says yes I,ll sign and Im happy with what you are going to pay me...Benfica say..yes pay usa 6 mill for our half and you can have him...Global sports ..(eventually say yes also)..As the premier league have now moved the goalposts so they dont get sued again..we are told its all or nothing...
We negotiate with the prem league about the way the registration has to carried out..( Dont mind admitting Im clueless on how this works in this case)
Manny turns up, passes his medical, trains with the club..and even shows up at the ground on Saturday..!! DEAL DONE?

GLOBAL( his agents and part owner) recieve a call from Valencia..something along the lines of."Do you want to double your money on your cut of his wages? and keep your 50% interest in the player...Hmmmmmm let me see say Global..as they bite Valencias hand off...
Fernades goes home and gets a call from his agent..telling him whats happened.."Shall I tell D.M and B.K"? asks Manny....Errrrm No we will them on Tuesday dont worry..

Now that just might all be complete and utter tosh..but no more than the ridiculous (pretending to sign him) theories doing the rounds....Of course , as I have said..without one reply yet..if anybody has any facts..I would love them

Steve Claringbold, your point is very good. The club is wrong to keep quiet on this.

Its going to be hard for BK & DM to admit that Fernandes pissed all over us but they should keep the fans in touch.

I’m not cross that the deal is dead but I am cross that the club is acting like nothing has happened probably hoping we will forget the deal without them having to admit a player has snubbed our great club.

I couldnt give a rat turd about Fernandez or any other player who doesnt play for us.What I am saying is that type of thing is now a regular occurence at the club season after season but its never the clubs fault. Why go public in the first place if it wasnt to bring the fans on board.Strange that after all these weeks of negotiating the board decides the best time to announce we have got Fernandez is during the voting for the Kirkby deal.It stinks and you should be >able to see that some one at the club has ballsed up.The buck stops with the man at the top.

Nobody ballsed up Tony. Fernandes has proved that he has no honor, loyalty or sense of decency.

He sat as a guest of BK during the weekend, pretending that he was joining Everton all the while knowing a deal with another club was being done.

Thats a shitty thing to do and if he had an expensive executive meal at Goodison on Saterday I think its a shame he didn’t choke on it.

I can just imagine his agent telling him that a bigger pay-day is being arranged, "just string Everton along Manny until its sorted".

What a tosser.

There you go again Tony - "Like the true Everonians who gave BKs regime the thumbs up last week by way of voting for Kirkby only to be stabbed in the back 3 days later by the same people.33.000".

When are you going to get it into your head that there is no link between people voting for Kirkby and the Fernandes deal? You even admitted as much in your second reply so why are you persisting with this argument???

As for BK et al being responsible for losing Fernandes, how about the novel idea that we have been fucked over by the player and his representatives?

Lets be honest it wouldn’t be the first time, remember a certain Nick Barmby who wanted to sign for life then asked for a transfer to the shite?

Whilst I’m happy to accept that BK and the board have made broken promises in the past and will probably do so in the future, your attempt to use the fernandes collapse as a stick to beat them over the head is a joke.

The player has fucked us over - end of story so grow up and accept this.

He’s certainly not worth 12 million from what we saw last season
Gavin Ramejkis
72   Posted 27/08/2007 at 17:56:47

Bob the 60 million Euro sell on clause has nothing to do whatsoever with Everton or Global it’s what Valencia rate the player as being potentially worth should anyone try to come in and buy him, how in hell does that get Everton off the hook, I’ve said elsewhere in real money that’s nearly £50m, now if he was an Everton player signed when we had the chance and we had such a clause we would now have our payment for the Tesco-dome.
Tony Miller
73   Posted 27/08/2007 at 17:57:59

Manuel Fernandes well I am gutted about how we have lost out on this player as it sends out the wrong messages.

However you would think we were just about to sign Ronaldinio the way some people are going on.

Manny appeared to be a very good prospect. He was nowhere near the finished article, may have turned to be another Arteta, but may have turned out like a number of European players who come to our league.

We saw glimpses of class from him but I see glimpses of class from Osman and Faddy. No-one is saying they will be world class.

Again I repeat I would not have said no and was exited that he was coming. However I am more annoyed with the manner of the collapse rather than the result.

Once the club has got their story together it will be interesting trying to identify truth from spin.

Dutch Schaffaer
76   Posted 27/08/2007 at 18:20:45

It was blindingly obvious that Fernandes would spend all week agreeing a verbal deal, training with the squad, attending the game and then out of the blue sign for another club?

Have to admit I didn’t see that one coming.

Whats more likely, option 1) a greedy footballer signed for another club offering more money or option 2) evil genius Bill Kenwright put together an elaborate plan to make it look like Fernandes was signing in the hope that it would somehow make fans vote yes for a ground move?

Personally I fail to see how news that Fernandes might be signing is going to make you vote yes for a ground move.

Maybe the club was slow in finalising the Fernandes deal, maybe it was a bad idea to try and secure Fernandes and Yakubu at the same time, clearly two such big deals takes alot of effort, maybe BK was working on the Yakubu transfer thinking Fernandes was sorted. Whatever happened doesn’t change the fact that Fernandes showed our club no respect and I for one now hate the man.

77   Posted 27/08/2007 at 18:25:32

The fact is the club should of been tying him up before last season finished instead of wanting to save on wages and leaving it untill the last minute again, they did exactly the same with Arteta remember, fannying around only at the time he was not as sought after like he would be now , when will these people take the blinkers off and wake up to the sheer incompetence and lies we have been sold year in year out, this man by the way has been on our board since Dr Marsh he was also pjs little yes man too, but hey hes a blue who remorgaged his house , hes a fucking fraud, from ring fenced to rooney the £80 mill player and believe me there will be plenty more to come

Don’t believe all the conspiracy theories on here (’Kenwright charade just to get the Kirkby vote’ etc.). We intended to buy a player whose agent then screwed us over - makes much more sense.

However, while not buying the full Tony M Conspiracy, I do think one thing is beyond dispute: the communications around all this have been FUCKING APPALLING. It should never have been announced if it wasn’t in the bag; and now we should get more than bloody silence.

For or Against our club... YOU decide! The NO voters, the conspiracy theorists, the naysayers & doomsday merchants ... What is that you want out of this club of ours?! In case its escaped your notice, we are not a TOP club anymore (but we are slowly making progress in the right direction!)

Point 1. Manny & Agents. Valencia are a G18 club without the constraints of lesser clubs and of course without the constraints re: 3rd party ownership of players in La Liga, also they only own half of Manny for £10M so his agents can make a fortune on the next transfer... (remember the role of the agents in the Rooney affair!) Your club played it honest and upfront and got sold down the river by the agent and more to the point Manny himself who is either too thick to run his own affairs and has no mind of his own or he is just downright dishonest and dishonourable. Either way, get off the clubs back... it has done nothing wrong at all.

Point 2. The ground move. Again the club have done nothing dishonest or underhand, you asked for a vote, you got the vote, you even had the company who is providing most of the funding for the stadium explain itself! (I think you'll find that most unusual business practise, never mind actually getting a vote on the matter! Yu got beat fair and square, take it on the chin and move on...

Point 3. We know the club has been mismanaged since the early 70s and we know BK has mismanaged the club along the way too... however, he and his management team have brokered a deal which could not only lead to securing top-flight football for the forseeable future but could even turn us back into the mighty force we once were! Nobody else has raised a finger to help the club (because if there had been it would have been splashed all over the media by the company/person wishing to take the club over!) see MU, Lfc, Mcfc , Nufc, Cfc takeovers, and AFC proposed takeover)!

Point 4. If you no longer have faith in the Board & your fellow supporters then do the honourable thing, return your season tickets (those who have them), stop going to the games and setup your own club like the disgruntled but honourable supporters of FC United & AFC Wimbledon. You never know, you may make as good a job of it as the last lot that split from Everton. (I'll let you work the name of that club out for yourselves...)

And finally... the meaning of the intro title... If you think that the YES voters & the NO voters who have graciously accepted the decision & the non-conspiracy theorists & ordinary supporters of this club are going to stand idly aside whilst you try to undermine this great club of ours, I think you'll find yourselves in for one heck of a battle against those that support this club. WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED from protecting this club from those that seek to destroy it... BECAUSE BELIEVE ME, with the constant bile, misinformation, conspiracy theories etc etc, all YOU do is undermine the very fabric of the club.

IT IS TIME TO TAKE SIDES... DO YOU CHOOSE TO PROTECT YOUR CLUB!

Vote YES: if you continue to support but ask questions of the club without accusing them of being dishonest and show respect to your fellow supporters...

OR

Vote NO: if you think the whole management of the club is rotten to the core and the supporters with an opposite opinion to yours count for absolutely nothing.

Dutch Tery Tommy and Brendan

I?ve read numerous predictions leading up to the vote that the club, as well as spending a small fortune trying to persuade people to buy into their kirkby project, would also try to create a feel good factor within the ranks, without actually delivering

I finnish work in about 5 mins so I wont trawl through, but are you telling me you havent heard this before ? on these pages, in the pubs, or even the dogs in the street barking it

The blindingly obvious statement wasnt only levelled at the Manny fiasco, its much worse than that, its all the names the club supposedly were ready to sign - want me to list them ?

As one Guy in anothter column put it, 4 questions
Why didnt we sign Manny in May
Why didnt we sign Manny in June
Why didnt we sign Manny in July
Why didnt we sign him in August
answer : because the kings ransome which didnt exist throughout that time is about to disappear again. because the board no longer need to pretend it exist, they?ve got their mandate.

Brendan your right the need for unity is now at the critical stage, but our board are now fooling less and less people, less and less of the time
Betting men are we ? I bet you wouldnt risk a brass ruppee between the lot of you on the Yak being in a blue shirt come the end of the week

Joey, if you check back this far you are a sadder bastard than me.

But Yakubu has signed & Marsh NEVER predicted that the Manny deal was a Kirby farce. Trust me I am that thorough & sad.

As for your other questions we didn’t sign Fernandes earlier because he wasn’t Moyes’s first choice. Fair enough the fact that Moyes was looking elsewhere allowed Valencia to snatch him but at the end of the day, if he opted not to join us, what the fuck?
