The Mail Bag
When will they learn?

Most clubs with any sense keep possible transfers close to their chest till the bloke signs on the dotted line and they bung him in front of the media.
For weeks we've heard from Kenwright, Moyes and the idiots at the Echo that Manny was "24 hours away from signing" or "I'm totally sure he will be an EFC player in a couple of days" etc etc. WHY WHY WHY bother saying all of this when there is no reason to? Over the years we've had to put up with loads of these incidents, it never changes.
I realise that the fans are always begging for transfer info but surely the way the club operates is insane. Bring the guy in, get him to sign THEN tell the fans. It became increasingly obvious that the Manny transfer was going pear-shaped as the days and weeks went on. I ask you, which other club acts like this? If this is Kenwrights "Everton Way" find another way sharpish.
Maybe the Yak will sign, maybe we can find another midfield player. To be honest we need more that that but its the 28th today and time is running out. For the last 3 years I've been waiting on transfer deadline day for news... NOTHING ever happens.
Manny shafted us, it's obvious, but next time EFC keep quiet till the deal is done, you only piss the fans off more if you blab too much!

Vogel was removed from the Betis squad and told to go look for a club.Lopera (the Betis chairman)has a track record of publicly gazumping clubs and generally has little honour or dignity - look at the the Oliviera transfer to Milan or the pettiness displayed in recent Betis-Sevilla derbies.
Fernandes and his Mr.15% pretty clearly had that Valencia move up their slevees while he was in Liverpool doing his bits and pieces. They presented him before doing his medical and already had had the financial bits all sorted out when he arrived. He wasn’t honest or guarded in his dealing with Moyes and co so I don’t see how it could be their fault.
