Creativity

While it is only a rumour, I hope the story linking us to Kevin Nolan is just that... a rumour. With our protracted and fruitless attempts at signing a creative midfielder having failed, surely we should be trying to get another player of that mould in... and Kevin Nolan is certainly not that player!

Not Nolan, surely Moyes isn't that desperate?
He was a decent player a few years ago but those days are seriously gone.
If Moyes signs the past-his-best Nolan and tendancy-to-be-lazy Yakubu then I will seriously struggle to renew my membership to the pro-Moyes club.

He’s 25 year old is he not?? past his best?!?! Jeezo.
He’s hit a rut at Bolton, a move to us would probably do him the world of good. He’s a great player, I’d take him in a heartbeat.

I don’t think Nolan has the guile that we need even on his best days I cant recall defence splitting passes OK he gets his fair share of goals but its craft in the mid-field we need we already have the graft

We need a quality, creative midfielder not another workhorse-of which such position in our squad is already oversubscribed and need no further addition.

I Have to agree with George. Whilst Nolan is a good player he is not that creative. We desperately need more creativity from midfield .I hope we get someone before the transfer window shuts.

I think Nolan would be a positive addition to the squad in general, but he’s not the creative driving force that we’re really craving.

Get Graveson back for a few season even though he’s old....... he’s presmiship proven and wouldn’t cost much!!!!

It was a pitty we missed out on Fernandes but there is still hope.We should go after Joao Moutinho from Portugal currently with Sporting Lisbon he is a much better player than Fernandes. He’s very creative and can control a game he would have to be one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment some compare him to a young Deco but I think he is better and would say he is even better than Nani that Man U signed, he will become one of the biggest stars in the game. If you don’t know much about him have a look on Youtube. So come on Moyes put a bid in for him, he would be the best signing that the club has ever made but we should hurry before someone else get’s him, Arsenal are already interested.

Moutinho is a very good player abit light weight. But this is Efc we don’t have the capabilities to sign someone of his quality. Anyway we don’t have enough time to conclude the transfer. 3 days isn’t enough for the Everton board. Maybe they should start the negotiations now so the transfer can be complete in Jan!!! What do you think??

FFS,please not Nolan. We have enough grafters in the side as it is.What a line up for the centre mid places it would be,Jags,Carsley,Neville,Nolan.Where is the creativity in that lot?Hey,here’s a thought,Moyes could get Nolan, and play the 4 of them across the midfield!

As Bob says above, I reckon the stage is set to see Gravesen back in blue. I think if Moyes approached him, Tommy would jump at the chance to play for the toffee’s in Europe. His current situation is pretty much tailor made for a reduced terms deadline "swoop". He’s not Arteta, or Manny but could be a great squad member to pull us through when the fixtures start to pile up...

He’s a quality player! I’d be made up if he came to Everton
