Is Kenright too nice?

I am no apologist for the mistakes made by the EFC board or more particularly Bill Kenright in the last 5 years but I do have difficulty believing that Blue Bill is a conniving, manipulative sneak. Which is how he is often described on this forum!
I think we need to understand the man to appreciate his behaviour. For me, Bill is a theatrical type who wallows in success and positive critical reviews but can be deeply hurt by criticism and negativity; hence his reluctance to face-up to the fans at no other time other than when there is good news to impart.
He is a total luvvie. An integral part of being a luvvie is a softness of character and naivety. To balance his personal luvvie attributes he has appointed the arch-bully Wyness to the role of Chief Executive at EFC.
I can only see vulnerability in Blue Bill that stems from his life?s career and his obsessive affection for Everton. Who else amongst us would mortgage our family home to dig-out EFC from the muck?
He is an Evertonian like you and I but what he is not is somebody who lives in the real world and more particularly on Merseyside. He does not appreciate the rough and tumble of a roller-coaster in our great city. He does treat the club like his own personal train-set but ,or all his faults,I know who I?d rather have as our chairman when you consider alternatives like Red Roman, Verner at Villa, the Yanks at Anfield and the dubious history of the guy at Pompey.
Recently, Bill has somehow secured another £25M to spend on players whilst naively being duped by Fernandes and his agent in the midst of a transfer. He really is a nice chap but very green.

I suppose that BK’s fault aswell.

In his dealings with Everton he’s been less than forthright. King’s Dock, Fortress Fund, 24/7 etc.
But in the case of Fernandes I really don’t think it was his fault (nor anyone elses within the Club)
