We will be one of the 40 seeded teams.

2 goals in the last 12 minutes rescued Shaktar Donesk and they go through with Dynamo Kiev also winning. We cannot be lower than 40th and we will be seeded.

Now then — will we get someone like Dunfermline (or their Swedish 2nd division opponents) or someone like Dinamo Zagreb? Guess what my money is on!

Its a dead cert we will get a tough draw, we always do in cup competitions.

Hopefully the events of a couple of years ago will be fresh in the players minds. With the new lads all here now, and maybe one more - we should be a team to fear, not ther other way around.

Whoever we get, at least we won’t get that corrupt Italian bastard (no disrespect to his mother) Collina again.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but ours was the last game he ’reffed’ because the Italian Refs Association told him to stop taking money for advertising car firms with interests in Italian teams. The "best referee in the world" said he could do what he liked. They told him to fuck off, but in Italian of course.

All the same, I’ll bet you we’re given - sorry, we draw - someone with a few internationals in their team, like Villareal had.

Wouldn’t mind a nice little easy draw this time around. That Belarus club will do for now, get us into them groups and we will hopefully end up wellying Villareal. We owe them one big time.

Of the unseeded teams now, these are my main concerns.

Fc Copenhagen - Quite a bit of experience in europe now and perhaps the best club in Scandinavia in competition with Rosenborg

Nûrnberg - Well, they are german...

Dinamo Zagreb - Not my choice for a first rounder..
