Was I denied a vote?

Comments (14)

Last fall (November 2006) I become a paying member of "EVERTONIA" in order to have priority for purchasing tickets for the Bolton game last year (what a goal!). I laid down some good cash to make the trip from the USA, but the experience was incredible. Magical in fact.

My question is, as an adult 2006-07 Evertonia member, should I not have received a ballot? Were ballots not sent abroad?

My vote would have been NO... KEEP EVERTON IN YOUR CITY!

Kirkby is in ’our city’. Kirkby, like Bootle, Crosby, Halewood and Huyton are Liverpool suburbs which don’t happen to be administered by Liverpool City Council.

Hi Sami,

Having spent some time in Boston..to give some idea...we are really in geographical terms (mileage) moving from the Back Bay area to Cambridge - except going across the Charles River constitutes the leaving of Boston if you get what I mean.

The mileage may be minimal...but it means the world to some folk - which is understandable.

To some, it’s the equivalent of moving (in Boston terms) EFC to Endicott or Walpole.

Great to see the blue presence in what is a fantastic city.

Cheers

Mike

Sorry but Kirkby (like most of the others you mention) is definitely not in Liverpool. Chjeck with the royal Mail if you don’t believe me. Thye may well be in Merseyside but that is not just Liverpool

You can kid yourslef all you want (and please try and kid the red-shite)but please do not spread false information to those who are in no position to know any different.
Kirkby is not Liverpool

Shame on you, Mike Homfray, telling Sami such porkies. Kirkby is no more in Liverpool than are Runcorn and Winsford, 2 other ’overspill’ towns.

Hi Sami;

it is interesting you mention the Bolton game. We has a team are there this weekend.

I and many other Evertonians will not be. The place is a nightmare.

The local fans are bussed in free of charge, it is on the edge of a large dual carraigeway similar to a motorway. On the edge of the moors were civilisation is yet to discover. Surrounded by a shopping mall. It takes on average one and a half hours to get away from the ground.

Sounds familiar! thats what a lot of Evertonians have just voted for.

p.s. I was last there in the spring of this year.

To the 2 Mikes.
Stop taking the Micky.
KIRKBY IS NOT IN LIVERPOOL and this subject wont die.
40% plus opposed to the move is a massive number of Evertonians

I don’t think your vote was missed to be honest - only a quarter of blues bothering to vote ’no’. It wouldn’t have made much difference in the grand scheme of things.

Gerard 1 quarter equals 25%, 40% equals 2 fifths

I voted NO and wonder if the vote was honest but as Kenwright could have just said we are moving I dont see the point we are leaving our city to move to a Kirkby cowshed we just have to live with it and move on

Please lads, give us a break. This Kirkby business has been done to death. It has joined the choir invisable, it has thrown off this mortal coil. If only Marshy and Co would let it rest in peace. Cease nailing it to the perch.

Mike Mulhall

I won’t drop it while people insist on lying to others esp those from outside the area who are in no position to judge.

Kirkby is not Liverpool, it is a town in it’s own right and situated in the same county (State to our American friends) as Liverpool.

Mail there is not addressed to Kirkby, Liverpool but Kirkby Merseyside

Perhaps you will now stop with your lies
