LCC: Look and Learn

This article in The Herald highlights the £50 million boost the city of Glasgow will get for having two teams competing in Europe. Glasgow city council are totally aware of how important its two clubs are to the city, Why do Liverpool City Council not realise what they are losing in Everton?

When have Everton ever asked LCC for help?. They watched and done nothing as Liverpool FC asked and got what they wanted. Why didn’t the people in charge at Everton ask what could be done for EFC. It was the fault of Everton and not LCC that the Kings Dock went tits up. A stadium still got built on that site, so there went one big chance.
Eveton FC have never asked about Stanley Park. There was a rumour, and rumour only. I would question the behaviour of certain LCC councillors in the sale of Stanley Park to LFC (i.e. season ticket holders). As this went on, it was the chance for Everton FC to ’do something’, but they stood and watched. There might have even been a last chance for Kings Dock.
I’ve no conection to LCC. Over the years, it’s just my observations that bring me to this view.

If you compare the geography and sizes of Liverpool and Glasgow - place Glasgow on top of Liverpool for example then Kirkby, Bootle and Huyton would be well within the city. As I said it’s a bit of an irrelevance.
