Horrible Feeling
Comments (6)
Is it just me or does anyone else have the horrible feeling that we're gonna here from the club: "We agreed a fee with Fenerbahce and terms with the player but some complications arose during his medical blah blah blah" and we will agonisingly miss out on Steven Appiah.

haha! great shout Manny.
Settle yourself Dec. I know your worried but why don’t you do what I’m about to do and go out for a few pints of the black stuff. :D
Although at 5 euro a time it is getting a bit steep down there

As I said on another thread, yes, those "complications" would be that Appiah is ghanian, thus would need a work permit. These take several days, so its not going to happen....chill out fella’s!

The only complications I can think of with regards to his medical is that he hasn’t even bloody had one.

jeremy b - If a work permit takes several days to come through, then explain how Pompey have just signed Papa Bouba Diop today? You could say that the club's have been working on the transfer for a few weeks but there was no mention of it in the news was there that Pompey had launched a bid?

I bet you’re one of those saddo’s who watches eclipses at 4 in the morning or camps out on the pavement before the January Sales!
Relax and remember that despite all the early worries and the Fernandes debacle we have brought in 6 quality players this Sumnmer whilst losing a couple of squad players in Naysmith and Beattie and a couple of basket cases in Wright & Pistone.
