Can anyone answer, is Tommy G eligible to play for us in Europe this season? This link from the Official Website says he can't wait for the European campaign but I thought he played for Celtic in the CL. Would this not make him ineligible???

Tommy didnt play at all for Celtic this season so he’s good to go in the UEFA cup for us

Didn?t Mascherano play in the UEFA cup for West Ham and the CL for the RS??

Thomas, there’s a complicated rule that basically enables you to field players who already played in another European competition, but only after the group stages.

Peter, it’s probably a rule that they incorporated to suit the RS. Is that being too paranoid and bitter?

Although he was included in their squad(s) he did not have any actual playing time for Celtic in CL and thus is eligible to play in the UEFA.
