Phil Jagielka

The Sunday People placed rumour about Phil Jagielka being unhappy and wishing to move, possibly back to Sheff Utd. Does anyone think there is anything in this story or just paper trash?

No it?s a shit paper, just because Nugent was not getting a game at Portsmouth and was rumoured to be going to Derby and Jags wasn?t starting at Everton some idiot probably thought it up, why would Moyes buy him for £4 million if he wasn?t in his plans long term?

Paper trash. At least I hope so because I think Jagielka is a very useful player.

Moyes has given Jagielka some time to adjust and earn his place in the starting 11. He did the same thing with Lescott last season and it worked out pretty well then.

Jagielka is in the starting team now and hopefully will stay there and has a big Everton future.

Yep, it’s definitely true.

I mean I can completely understand why Jagielka would be unhappy at having started the last couple of games for a burgeoning Everton side that currently stands level on points with the team at the top of the Premiership. I can also understand that he would much rather go back to Sheffield Utd and play in a lower division.

Jesus wept ! That has to be the worst ever ’story’ to appear in any newspaper ever. Ever.

I don’t know about that, Tom Morris. I remember in the summer of 1997 that it was widely reported that Peter Johnson was about to make Jurgen Klinsmann our manager, he would be allowed to fly in for matches from Germany in a heicoptor and Fabrizio Ravanelli was to be his first signing.

In the end we got Kendall Mk3, who had lost touch with modern tactics and we signed Tony Thomas from Tranmere....

Pure paper talk but Daffy the transfer window being closed does not affect Championship clubs being able to bring in players on loan.

Papers like the People and the NOTW brag about how many transfers they predicted would happen but dont brag about how many they made up. They are always being sued for libel for made up stories about people. I wouldnt believe anything you read in trash papers when the World has so many serious issues they print on the front page something about Big Brother which sums up the standard and quality of such a newspaper.
