Is Lescott happy at Everton?

Comments (10)

I have heard a few rumours doing the rounds since the Blackburn game, most of them originate from fans. Did Lescott have a fall out with Moyes over being dropped to the bench? His comments about not knowing if his place in the starting 11 is guaranteed... is this having a pop or just being honest?

He’s probably being honest and open. His place is not guaranteed with stubbsy still in the squad who will be called into action against some of the more robust teams in the league. I’d like to think that no-ones place is guaranteed purely to keep up competition for places but that is just wisful thinking.

No he is not. He’s gutted that hes just been selected for England and that his team stands 3rd in the table. Don’t get him started about being moved back to his favourite position at the centre of defense. And apparently he was desolate after scoring the winning goal against Bolton. (Which is apparently true because he has Bolton’s goalie in his dream team)

Apparently Lescott turned up late for training that week. Moyes decided to punish him with a short sharp shock and dropped him for the Blackburn game.

I wouldn’t worry too much, I think Moyes was just asserting his authority and making an example to prove that nobody is undroppable.

Lescott has done great since he joined but don’t forget that this is a man who missed Wolves entire Premiership campaign because was he kneecapped for shagging some gangsters wife.

Moyes will not want to see that type of behaviour from Lescott and being dropped will hopefully remind the player that only hard work will guarantee his place in the starting eleven.

I was in the wimslow after the game and rumour going around was that he had a bust up about the left back spot not sure if this was just a bit of gossip, but us fans do like to bend onto these stories and put a bit of spin on them. I hope he is happy because this lad could turn out into a smashing defender who a few top draw European outfits will be taking notice.

Mick?s account tallies with what I had heard from a reliable source ? that he?d had a row with Moyes who told him he saw him as a left back and not as a centre back. Not sure if that was in general (bloody hope not) or just for the season because of Alan Stubbs? form...

I really hope this isn’t the start of unhappiness in the ranks especially after the Jagielka rumours over the weekend. I fear that Joleon could be the man that the ’Big 4’ could start trying to sign.

We are actually due some negative press/disruptive rumours. They cant see us doing well. Jagielka unrest, cahill fiddling, lescott unhappy would be another "find" for those talentless closet red shite hacks.

I hadn’t heard anything about clashes with Moyes when he was dropped, but it seemed to make sense on the basis that he’d made mistakes that led to goals twice in the first 3 games. I’d assumed it was a dig in the ribs to remind him that he needed to concentrate to stay in the team.

My understanding is that Lescott is upset because he was dropped for the Blackburn game. In my opinion he is right to be upset. This season as per last he has been outstnding.

I also hear that Moyes was disappointed with Jagielka during pre-season training and shared that view with a number of others outside the club. This resulted in Wigan making an offer for Jagielka before the start of the season. Hence the NIXON rumour in the Sunday People.

Thankfully Moyes has now seen the error of his initial view and the good form Jags in the 2-3 games he has now played.
