Saturday Afternoon...

Comments (25)

Is there anyone out there who is going along to the Casa on Hope Street this coming Saturday? KEIOC are holding a meeting there with representatives from the Bestway group in attendance apparrently. It starts at 12.30pm; some of our fans have not given up hope yet and I am going along to show my support.

Saturday you have got a choice. Watch the Mighty Ingerland side play a a team of semi-pros at the New Wembley or get down to town and listen to what's being said by some of your fellow Evertonians concerning the clubs future. You never know ? you might just learn something while you are there.

I’m convinced that Tony Marsh is more than one person - the writing styles are too different from one post to the next.

The southern ponces vs semi-pros KO is 5pm. Provides enough time to visit the Betamax brigade’s meeting then laugh at the southern ponces’ attempts at breaking down a championship defence.

I don’t like the idea of moving out of the city either but its time we faced facts, the majority of fans voted to move.

More fans want to move. Thats the bottom line.

Tony I will be there and hug you to death. I am a conservative and believe in conserving our heritage. We tories love living in the 1950s, when live was so gay and jolly. I will support you only if you support national service and we can talk about your crusade.

Nah Tony, I’m not calling you names lad.

Just stating the truth. You can continue with your pathetic little "we shall not be moved" brigade. You’ll never change a thing, the majority have spoken, so no more games for you when we move to Kirkby.

I tell you what is pathetic.Being taken to the brink of exstinction< On a retail Park by a flawed vote.10.000 fans didnt vote why?Abstainers my arse.
Every day there are more and more stories coming out of supporters who voted who were not entitled to and many more who didnt recieve any ballot papers who were entitled but didnt get the chance. You call that a fair ballot? The whole thing stinks. Why dont Tescos build us a new ground on the Great Homer street project/>answer because they dont need us.<>You fall for the Terry Tesco bullshit.I am sure one of Britains biggest companies is allowing Them selves to give freebies to EFC because Terry is a Toffee.Dont make me laugh. They are using us to get a foothold<>in Kirkby and you suckers have fallen for the old 3 card trick.Tesco share holders dont give a toss about us you fool its the £1 million a week profit they want.We get a plastic cowshed like the one Warrington Wolves got then its thank you your on your own soft shites.

Do you cut and paste these comments Tony, or do you just have them word for word in the old memory banks?

Tell you what, I will come Saturday, it’ll be all hands on deck just to help you put all your toys back in your pram.

I thought tossers that use Jarg names were barred from here.Give false names in to conceal your true identity. just like you cant seem to find anyone in these parts who will admit they voted YES.Very strange all this hiding away and secrecy.perhaps you now realise you fucked up.

Tony marsh is right , just reading through the business supplement of the daily post yesterday all talk of skyscrapers hotels etc and how many millions more tourist each year are flooding into the city as the place booms .
Billions of pounds will be coming in over the coming years especially when Peel holdings starts its massive project ,football got mentioned a few times too but heyho we will be stuck miles away in a poxy outlet village its absolutely beyond me that they are even considering this .

Brian Wolf, the majority of Evertonians did not get a vote,
you and Dutch should try to get your facts right before spouting off.

I voted yes but I’ll still be happy to back a viable affordable alternative in Liverpool, until then Kirkby it is.

I have experience of business as I run my own company so know that to be like sir Timmy there is no sentiment or loyalty when it comes to situations like this so for people to think that part of this deal is down to his love of everton then think again for fucks sake ,as for why aint anyone tried to by us ,they will have, its just billybull will do it six months after we have moved for a tidy profit to pay his remortgage off (the poor dear deserves it)

Tony mate because of health problems I wont be there,But believe me I’m with you 100% on this ignore the spineless who are too ashamed to use their real names as only 15,000 voted yes almost as many could not be arsed voting I wonder if they will be arsed going to Kirkby if it comes to that

Ho god this is becoming so repetitive and predictable. Cant toffee web have a amnesty on this and just give us break for a few days. Very good topics are being ignored. I know this is an important issue but its just old ground and these posts just become boring, my dads bigger than yours comes to mind. Take a step back and look at some of the shite that people post. Tony Marsh if you don’t calm down you will end up exploding into a ball of dust.

Cheers Roy get well soon mate.
James tate you must realise that
this issue will never go away. Its impossible to sweep something so important to people under the carpet. This unfortunetly is what we have become under the guidance of BK and KW.Even if we do move to Kirkby it wont be the end of the protests as many will boycott the games there in disgust.Saving ourselves from destruction is surely worth fighting for.

I agree with tony marsh its a joke that we could be moving to kirkby, and hes bloody right in saying we will lose our history, sat in a retail wonderland, fucking wake up, yes tonys controversial at times but he sticks to his guns unlike some of the so called turn coats who call themselves true blues who lack any conviction and dont back up anything they say with anything remotely interesting or amusing.

They call Tony marsh names for showing some passion , having a view and generally being cut up by the thought of his beloved clubs soul being erased yet support greedy aberdeen fans ( who know jack shit about what we are about and have a history of business lies ) with the biggest decision in our history just a couple a years into his time with us fucking clueless

Thanks for the invite Tony, but I promised the missus I’d help her choose a new kitchen from B&Q’s new Select range. There’s a 10% discount on offer at the Ellesmere Port store, so I’ll probably be heading down there at some point. Then I’ve got to fix the shelves in the kids room - little Micky has been swinging on them - (exasperated gasp) again.

I’ll be going round to Paul’s later to watch the England game, if you fancy it. He’s got Sky+ so we can watch it after he’s picked his lad up from Judo.

Be sure to give our best regards to the KEIOC boys though, and good luck with your hate campaign - I think it’s marvelous what you’re doing. Keep up the good fight. We’re all counting on you Tony.

Listen, fellas, we had our chance to vote, and the majority (who could be bothered to vote) decided in favour of the move - that’s democracy. And before someone points out that "only" 15,000 people voted in favour of a move, "only" 10,000 voted against.

Here’s an idea, though, and one which might give an indication to how things might go when we move to Kirkby - how about KEIOC hold one of their rallies on a matchday, say when Everton are playing at home next, and we can see how many will go to support their club, and how many will attend the rally. Because when it really comes down to it, where would the "No" voters prefer to be - watching Everton, or watching TV?

Well Tony , I very rarely agree with anything you say..Im one of the many insulted by you for disagreeing with your views and ..yes I, ll come down to the cassa on saturday..I only live down the road...We can discuss the fact that seemingly unknown to you , but glaringly obvious to everybody(almost)else is the fact that Tesco are in this to make money..!!!SHOCK , HORROR,,, they have even openly admitted it..apparently they are building a big fucking supermarket right by our new stadium..with.you wont believe this, the intent of making a million quid a week..and apparently if they dont have a footy stadium on the site they can only build a much smaller supermarket..????? SHOCKED? SURPRISED? well you shouldnt be because its common public knowledge..no conspiracy..just a little you scratch my back .etc

And Bill Kenwright..you know what ..once its built he may even sell his shares and make a few bob.

Again..he can ..they are his he bought them ..he took on massive debt..pulled us out the shit .and if he makes a few quid ..well good on him..

I understand anybody who wants to stay in the city ..I was born here 42 years ago and have been going to games for 36 of them..and if a better alternative than Kirkby ..properly financed..transport..decent facilities etc..becomes a reality.then I will support it..but at the moment its not..look forward to hearing Bestways proposals..just dont try and put a sticker on me.
