Sheff Wed Tickets

Comments (4)

I am a season ticket holder for the blues but unfortunatly do not get the chance to attend many away games due to work. However, when I seen the draw for the Carling Cup against Sheff Wed, I decided that I will definitely go to this one. So I went up to the ground today to see if the tickets were out.

To my suprise, I was told that they are only on sale to season ticket holders who have 6 away stubs. Whereas tickets for Aston Villa away are on sale to season ticket holders with 2 away stubs. Why is it that you have to have 6 away stubs to go and watch the 3rd round of the Carling Cup? Can anyone clarify this?

Just a question of timing.

The ticket arrangements for the Villa match started with you having to have attended a high number of away matches. The number goes down as the date of the match approaches until all tickets are sold out or, if not, they go on general sale.

It’s just a way of rewarding the diehard away support when allocations are limited. Keep watching http://www.evertonfc.com/tickets/premiership-ticket-information.html

and the dates will be announced. I’m sure that tickets for this game will go on general sale a few days before the match.

It may also have something to do with hopw many tickets have been allocated to Everton. I know Villa usually give us quite a high allocation because we nearly always fill one end.

The requirement for stubs will go down as the game draws nearer. I am sure we will have a large allocation as Wednesday struggle to fill their stadium. Keep an eye on the tickets section on the website, and you’ll soon know when you can buy one. I don’t see you having a problem getting one, it won’t be the most popular game of the year.

We’ve never won this bastard cup! It may not have the prestige of the FA Cup but I’d still like to see it in the Everton trophy cabinet. I think it was the 87-88 season that we last had a decent run in the competition when it was still called the Littlewoods Cup or some bollocks name like that.
