The `New` Everton?

So that`s it then ? the `New` Everton?
From what I saw on Fox, they looked pretty much like the Everton of old with a totally ineffectual midfield and strikers who spent the game watching the ball whizz past them.
Perhaps they were all `saving themselves` for the BIG game on Thursday - we can only hope that was the case but I fear the very worst.
And £20M for Johnson and Yakubu? The pair are totally incompatible, Moyes has blown his gaffer`s bread on these two lummoxes.

Perhaps this was a missed opportunity but certainly not the turgid crap that Ken’s spouting!
Man U may not be firing on all cylinders and even if we have got £20m worth of strikers upfront, did you see the talent that the scum had on the pitch! Tevez, Ronaldo, Scholes, need I go on. As much progression as we may have made we’re still inferior on paper to teams like Man U, so if we’d have won a scrappy 1-0 or even stole a point I’d have been pleased.
As it is we’ve lost and I’m disappointed. I will scrutinize the full game later, but from what I’ve read so far, we didn’t do too bad. Let’s hope the confidence isn’t knocked too much for the next game.

They scored one goal from a set piece in the end nothing more. Yes this separates the champions from the decent side but at the moment we are decent side, which is developing into very good side, we will have to take such setbacks and learn from them. We had our chance from the set piece it was cleared of the line, we had disallowed goal which was very, very harshly ruled out. Noone is commenting on this its easier to slate the players and the manager.
One more thing all our players were shit name me then your player of the match, who was the big money player from United who stood shoulders over our push overs?

However that central midfield player has to be world class. I actually think that we should be in the market for a quality defensive midfielder with good ball retention skills and the ability to pass AND an attacking midfielder who can beat a man and set up the strikers.

I certainly hope your wrong. Moyes has turned this club around and I truly believe we’d be fighting for promotion back to the prem rather than fighting for Europe if it wasn’t for him. And Bolton fans will tell you just how quickly it can turn itself on its head after a good manager leaves.
In my opinion, he’s likely to be there for a good while yet. Luckily for us, your opinion doesn’t influence those who matter and make these decisions. I’m sure those who do have a more ’learned’ rather than ’knee jerk’ approach to such an important decision

We defended nicely, as did they. It had to be a set-piece in the end to win it and well, Vidic got it. Pity though, United were clearly frustrated about not getting anywhere.
I thought we did well and by no means will I be throwing useless ranting about this result.
IT COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY
