Everton in the Community

Comments (10)

Have Everton closed their Community Office they used to send coaches to various schools promoting Everton and operate out of offices in the Park end carpark. I cannot see any reference to Everton in the Community on the official website anymore.

Haha I coached for a bit few times when I was a student. My bird’s auntie was in charge. Best job ever! They’re still going, you see down down at IM Marsh on a Thursday evening. If you want to get your kid booked on or something its 330 2307

I know someone who worked for them. They were run by a charity rather than by Everton in recent years, but I was told last week there had been some cutbacks, I haven’t seen the guy concerned but they ran some of the Everton Girls teams whom I note no longer play in the girls league. So maybe something has happened recently I dont know.

My daughter played for Everton u16 girls and is now too old. I checked on the league website to see how they were getting on as they were in both the Lancashire and Liverpool FA Leagues.I was surprised to see they were not listed in either league.

The managers were both community coaches so maybe something has happened, cutbacks at grass roots level to help pay for things at a higher level.

I also heard murmurs about Everton’s continued inability to successfully market merchandise even with the new partnership with JJB.

I often read on here people complaining about ticketing arrangements, also.

As the club appears to be run at all these areas shambolically, upon who’s head does the buck rest?

Paul, the running of EFITC is nothing to with anybody in the club officially. They’re a registered charity in their own right. I reckon they might even hire the office at the park end and pay to use the clubs name, I know thats how a lot of these fitc schemes work as I’ve worked for loads of them.

There is an 0870 442 1878 number on the website to ring for most departments at Goodison try ringing that. It does mention the Community.
There used to be a coach at Everton called Ted Sunbed Sutton who used to come to the schools years ago, he had a permatan.
