Has Moyes lost the Changing Room?
Comments (7)
Maybe the saddest thing about Everton today is not the poor recent displays of the team but the level of distrust of the club by its fans.
I am hearing a number of disturbing rumours about problems with several key members of the current playing squad and David Moyes. I do not intend to repeat these here but can anybody re-assure me that the changing room is more in accord with the manager than recent displays have suggested?
The last six games have presented a team that is completely flat... WHY? Can anybody explain?

AJ - nonsense. Moyes always backs him (rightly, as even if not scoring he offers so much more).
Arteta - nonsense. The guy wouldn’t have signed a new deal had he not been happy with things.
Lescott - nonsense. Moyes wouldn’t have spent all that cash on Baines if he saw Joleon as a left back.

No jungle ......sorry..... we live up in the Mexican mountains and a great consolation in that is when we go outside after watching another scandalous performance from a team that I have followed for well over fifty years the sun is always shining.
My question was genuine and I hope my information is wrong but I really doubt that.
The reason I won’t say more is that while we are thousands of miles away from Goodison
I still have some friends from the old days around the Premier League and I hear from several that there is a problem at Everton and that it surrounds the manager and current relationships with his players.
I will say no more than that for one simple reason........it is many years since I first came across David Moyes when he was an aspiring apprentice along with some of my old pals in Jock Stein’s youth team at Celtic and I like the guy as a person but I’m afraid not as a coach where I have long suspected that he has already done all he can for our beloved Blues.
He has done a decent job at Everton and should not be disrespected but I strongly believe his time has passed.
I have not spoken to DM in many years and if I had to advise him now , my recommendation would be that he leaves Everton on good terms and joins Man U as an assistant coach if Fergie’s present assistant leaves as has been suggested recently.
He could watch and learn and while I believe his future hopes are firmly centred on Glasgow , there is nothing to suggest that he could not return as a far better manager to Everton in different days ’under new ownership’
I very much doubt that he would do this but let’s see what happens if the situation arises.
Don’t know about you folks but I cannot see BK sacking Moyes and indeed there has even been speculation in the press about a new five year deal that would buy out the 20 months left on DMs current contract .
A sale of the club will possibly hold the key to when Moyes leaves.
Probably no trophies at Goodison this season but I think this could be the most important year in the history of our beloved Blues.
The offer to Riquelme may have started much of this problem for David Moyes but you guys are back there in town - you must be hearing something surely !
Dig out the tapes of the last six games.
We have been completely flat throughout (OK Tommy Boy did get us out of jail at woeful Bolton) - do you not feel that something is far wrong at our club that perhaps rather flukily led the Premier after taking 6 points from the opening pair of matches and scoring 5 goals.
Then six games - 1 win and 4 goals scored to 7 conceded.........................this is no knee jerk reaction.
Sunday at boring Villa was a new low in recent times.
Something went badly wrong towards the end of that last transfer window and if relationships can be mended , I hope like hell that they are soon .
Sorry to write such a gloomy post but it is hard to be happy seeing a more than decent squad producing close to nowt !
Yeah..........’things can only get better’ as the old song says.
Best wishes to all my fellow sufferers back there and here’s to better times !
